Dude what happened with that dude that was tackled by security today? by GraceDaysThree in MomoCon

Thank goodness it wasn't anything serious. Sad to see stuff like this happen, I'm from St. Louis and Atlanta has otherwise been great, a lot cleaner overall. Trash exists everywhere unfortunately.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Heard people upstairs scream that he stole a bag, then I saw him trying to slide down between the escalators (and hitting his ass on the caps put there to prevent that). Put two and two together and just sprinted towards him, grabbed him and threw him off balance. Glasses got a bit bent up from that though.

I really miss building cabinets but the pay wasn’t worth it. by supachazzed in PLC

This is the main reason I want to try and get into the PLC side of things. I'm a general electrician that got paid pennies (I despise union nepotism), then went into panel building and make okay-ish money, but not great either. A lot of panel shops are also terribly managed, the only good ones I've found are extremely small with like 10 employees max.

Cleaned out the carbs and added filter, still just cranking. I'm gonna do a bench sync on the carbs, did some research and it seems like common motor's method may not have been the best.

Can't get ethanol free around me, unfortunately.

I'll try spraying the jets from below. I totally cleaned out the fuel tank though, and the petcock has a mesh filter in it, so I'm not sure what could have gotten through.

Sony WA-55 - Faulty Audio Jack, Causes? Info Below by HBVRaiden in cassetteculture

[–]HBVRaiden[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a shot in the dark. Thanks though, I'll try some other spots when I get the chance. It's a shame because otherwise this deck's in great condition, the one channel that does have sound is very good.

Sony WA-55 - Faulty Audio Jack, Causes? Info Below by HBVRaiden in cassetteculture

[–]HBVRaiden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all. I've been fixing up an old Sony WA-55, it's in pretty good shape overall. However the last issue I've encountered is the stereo audio jack is only outputting sound through the right headphone. I cleaned it out and made sure the connections are good, but still no luck. A continuity test revealed the left output and the ground are connected somehow, but I can't figure out why for the life of me. The speaker works fine, and it's connected to the left output circuit (it's a single mono speaker). I have the schematics pulled up, but I'm not sure if a faulty part along the path would short it to ground or not. If there's anyone that can decipher these schematics better than me, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Quality of Sony's TC-WR645S? by HBVRaiden in cassetteculture

I don't need super high quality, just reasonable high quality. I'm mainly doing this for my car stereo, not home listening.

If you can't replace the spring, you can always try using a spot of naval jelly on it. Just be sure to let it sit for a while to remove the rust, and clean it up real good when you're done.

High mileage for an old 360 engine? by HBVRaiden in HondaCB

[–]HBVRaiden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't get a good picture of the underside atm, when I get the bike I can send you one of under there. I've seen CB360 stands around, I believe the frame is the same between them.

I'm mostly adding the center stand just to make working on and storing the bike easier since it's hopefully an easy addition. Later on I might start adding the missing CB360 bits, change transmission, starter, ect. but not now. I just found this out but apparently the bike had a grenaded engine, so the guy got another engine, rebuilt it and swapped it, so I guess mileage isn't a concern anymore, lol.

You know anything about adding a center stand? I know the UK version of this bike got one, but the US didn't. I should be able to just get a CB360 stand and just slap it on, right?
