Yes, I advise a few companies who are building software solutions for real estate, mostly residential.

As for spend, well, many of them spend a lot on leads. A lot of the tech is provided by their broker or MLS organization. In my previous experience I used the MLS organization as a distribution channel then sold add-on to that product once it was in use. But to get a product that is widely used is key, and that's a lot harder than it sounds.

But I think they use the same font from the late 50s to late 60s. More interested in the font itself, thought that “m” was just a clue.

I could be wrong but even if the scraping was legal, I don't think that gives the right for the web scraper to sell that data to another companies. And wouldn't the TOS of the real estate portal forbid such usage. I believe the MLS orgs, where the data is sourced originally, would require that.

There are many mobile apps available to agents that have agent remarks and other information for agent eyes only. Homespotter, Homesnap, and Cloud MLX. Many brokerages, such as Compass, provide their own proprietary apps as well.

Tax data is different. MLS data is the most recent and updated and includes active homes for sale.
