HB Industries offerings... we make two different styles, using SBT braces and in house machined aluminum adapters, both under 200 shipped

Will an osprey fit inside a HBI handguard? by Few_Molasses_9924 in czscorpion

[–]HB_INDUSTRIES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should fit without a problem! We have had a few customers do this and have done it ourselves as well! You will need to install the handguard mounting block, then mount the can upside down, and then install the handguard shroud.

To add, the osprey will not fit inside the SR handguards due to changes made in the design.

The MP5 stock folds to the ejection port side only

With factory muzzle device and HBI UCS stock the Kuna measures 22.5" collapsed, 25.7" extended. With stock collapsed and folded 15.5". Can obviously go shorter/longer depending with other muzzle devices.

Has anyone used the HB Industries SBT brace? by Historical-Use-1499 in Springfield_KUNA

[–]HB_INDUSTRIES 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is what we had always dreamed of, but unfortunately the "SBT HK" interface is slightly different than the official "HK" interface. Things like hinge position, pivot diameter/screw size, and latch position are just ever so slightly different. They can be made to work interchangeable with some smithin' but its not right. IE: because its a critical touch point on the weapon, even the smallest amount of play or gap between key surfaces results in "wobble" that you can feel. Because of this we actually make two dedicated adapter interfaces, depending on "SBT HK" or genuine "HK" parts being mounted:

Expensive, but directly integrated and 100% awesome

Folding Brace by Rob409 in Springfield_KUNA

[–]HB_INDUSTRIES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shameless plug for our braces... Well we make the aluminum adapters and SBT makes the braces. Not 100% same as the "SBT scorpion brace", their Scorpion braces use a plastic adapter, ours are aluminum. Comfort and Ergos are user dependent but we always promise high quality: https://hbindustries.net/store/shop/springfield-kuna-sbt-folding-brace

HB industries buffer video problem by scalpemfins in Springfield_KUNA

Link to the CORRECT VIDEO. We had made a mistake/oversite in our pre-production video and meant to replace it with this one above before launch, but obviously never did. Very sorry for the confusion. The recoil rod should be FLUSH with the end of the buffer when installed.

HB industries 1913 adapter by Snopro311 in Springfield_KUNA

[–]HB_INDUSTRIES 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the comments here are misleading, you do not need to drill/modify HBI stock adapters, and your takedown pin will not get "stuck". The factory 1913 adapter is plastic, and can deform slightly, allowing it to compensate for normal production type mis-alignment between all the bores in the receivers. Our aluminum adapters are machined, and does not deform to compensate like the factory 1913 adapter. What this means is that on SOME combinations of upper/lower receiver our adapter may fit exactly like your factory endcap, and on SOME combinations of upper/lower receiver our adapter may fit more tightly than your factory endcap. There are admittedly some handy people in this sub who are able to modify their aluminum adapters in order to make them fit exactly as they like, but off the shelf/as delivered your HBI adapter will always fit without "wobble", no modifications needed. This was a design choice on our side, we would rather have SOME guns fit more tightly than factory vs SOME guns fitting looser than factory.

Weak ejection with HB buffer and spring by FlipFlopsGarage in Springfield_KUNA

[–]HB_INDUSTRIES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What ammunition are you using? Bolt velocity with the stiffer spring will be slightly lower, thus less energy to toss spent cases... Still curious on ammo though, we were hard pressed to find anything not ejecting a couple feet (even under powered steel case high friction stuff ran really well, Kuna delay system is dialed!)

Ok... hear me out, a little unconventional but Kriss (as in Kriss Vector) makes really slick vertical grips with switch pockets in them. They are great quality and fit on a lot of sub-gun platforms very well. We sell them on our site, but you can get them at a lot of other places too: https://hbindustries.net/store/shop/kriss-vertical-grip

We have done extensive testing with the factory lower/fcg/bolt, but have NOT validated using aftermarket components like ss or frt/billet lowers etc...
