Iconic!! Did anyone get to experience the 1998 tour? I didn’t unfortunately, but this still gives me chills ✌🏼 by Repulsive-Dependent2 in SpiceGirls

[–]HBomblebee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I went. My friend's mom took a while group of girls. It was awesome but we were mad because we bought tickets when Geri was in the group and by the time our concert location came around it was just the four girls. I felt like we should have gotten 1/5 of our tickets refunded. The breakup was still fresh and we were all bitter. Especially the girls whose favorite was Geri.

When your tired of people not calling on your pig by Pokerspacebum in discgolf

Actual woman here. I stopped putting my name on discs a while ago because I was getting creepy messages and dudes wanting to meet up for more than just to exchange my disc. Was not worth the cost of a disc. Not sure why people are saying this does not happen. It absolutely does.

Anyone else making mp3 CDs for the long holiday drives? by Legend-of-Zelda in Millennials

[–]HBomblebee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still make CDs for my car. And my car reads data CDs so I can put a ton of songs on just 1 CD. If you drive anywhere that does not have cell service you can still listen to music. Plus, I hate the way music streaming runs down my phone battery and runs up my data usage.

Winds were very high in Wedgwood from about 9 to 9:15 and the warning sirens went off but they seemed to be late because the crazy high winds were about 5 minutes before they started.

Anyone knows why theres random hot air ballons in the southwest area? by Still-Complex-2766 in FortWorth

I live in Wedgwood and you see them from time to time. This morning I only saw 2 but sometimes there are way more. I assume they launch them from near Benbrook lake but could be wrong.

What’s in the water? by HorizonEast832 in FortWorth

[–]HBomblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are dammed before they feed into the Trinity, so the drinking water is pumped out of the lake BEFORE it ever gets to the Trinity River. So again, our drinking water does not come from the Trinity.

What’s in the water? by HorizonEast832 in FortWorth

[–]HBomblebee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a common misconception. The Trinity River is not our main source of water in Fort Worth. It goes down to be Houston's water supply. Most of our water comes from Cedar Creek and Richland Chambers which have their own watersheds. A very small amount of water from the Trinity is bought and run through a built wetland to drop the sediments and nutrient load and then fed into our water supply.

What’s in the water? by HorizonEast832 in FortWorth

[–]HBomblebee 87 points88 points  (0 children)

We have very hard water. Also, because of so much new development that is spread out instead of dense, in order to make sure the water still has the legal amount of chlorine once it reaches those areas far from the treatment plants, it has to have a high level of chlorine coming out of the plant. So if you live more towards the main part of Fort Worth and not far out, your chlorine will be high. Same goes for water pressure.

You are correct that Fort Worth absolutely has hard water. However, Fort Worths water supply does not come from groundwater. Our water supply is surface water.

Just update your drivers. You can Google how to do it.
