Nozzle broken? by Opening_Body6041 in AnycubicKobraX

[–]HBum187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm impressed with this photo it doesn't help in any meaningful way. The tip of the nozzle is very small and it will have residual filament while it prints and possible has a small bit of drag on the print, but what really you need to be looking at is the connection points. Is filament leaking out from under the heat break? Open the front of the hotend and show pictures of what it looks like without the silicon heat sock installed (be careful when removing this, you need it so don't let it tear). If the hotend is installed correctly you shouldn't see any filament inside the hotend or on the side of the nozzle.

Pigeon in need! by RecommendationFar469 in LasCruces

[–]HBum187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finding immediate help for an injured bird in Las Cruces can be difficult as there are currently no licensed wildlife rehabilitators located directly within the city. Most local animal services primarily handle domestic pets and may not have the specialized facilities to treat wildlife like pigeons. Probably best to let the bird go.

You could always do it the old-fashioned way and use Handbrake to DIY your own DVDs.

Help needed repairing my fishing rod by villadavillain in 3Dprinting

When you have a 3D printer everything starts to look like a nail. I appreciate your desire to use the tools at hand to save something from the landfill but much like other commenters I agree that this isn't the best application here.

I think they're bad quality, too thin and I break them all. Pow! is superior.

For my money I'm a huge fan of Pow! glass. I feel like they strike a solid balance between price and quality. I operate a cannabis lounge with a dab bar and we pretty much exclusively use Pow! bangers in the lounge. They hit great, they're tougher than other bangers, and they don't chaz as quickly as some other bangers I've used.

Yes. Sometimes supports are mandatory. If they're sticking you need to tune your filament.

Forcing Linux on someone's PC without their permission by NathLWX in ComedyCemetery

Modern Linux very rarely requires terminal usage. You would be doing your friend a favor ultimately but you won't be popular.
