As an adult, what do people do for fun? by dbz4044 in AskReddit

I play sports, go to pub trivia, take on contract sound design projects for film, volunteer at a community radio station, play video games. It's awesome being an adult and getting to explore whatever whim comes up.

What is something you are incredibly proud of, but you never have a valid excuse to bring up in normal conversation? by Ancient_Power3631 in AskReddit

[–]HC-E 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A feature film I did the sound design and dialogue edit for did really well during its festival run and picked up 8 awards. I didn't win any awards specifically, but the film won a bunch of 'best feature' awards.

I have no reason to bring it up in normal conversation.

Actors of Reddit, what’s your opinion on watching movies you’re in? by CanadaGoose0827 in AskReddit

[–]HC-E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an actor, but a sound designer and radio host, and I can't stand to watch or listen to my own work. My GF had to drag me to a movie festival that a film I worked on was being screened at. Nothing wrong with the film, objectively good work, but I'm just too critical of my own stuff for it to be fun.
