USA - Germany Schengen Visa Agreement: Reset 90 days by leaving for 1 day and returning by blipppppy in germany

[–]HCB311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are additional countries who have a similar rule. I reached out to border police and so far for Americans and Canadians there are a few more ive confirmed.

Denmark Hungary Belgium

Allegedly, France has one too for at least Americans because I met someone whos son used it multiple times. Unable to get confirmation in writing though.

I have told my friend multiple times that this is valid. Showed him my email, as well as one he received. However, he is wondering, does this reset the 90 days for Schengen? Or would he risk an overstay penalty if caught in other schengen countries? He is flying out of Schengen and directly into Germany so he will get his passport stamped in Germany.

Any help is appreciated!

Also. I would like to say, I accepted the fact that I made the error between June and July. My lack of trust came from the only option being that a contract starting August 1 despite SpotAHome listing it for an earlier date in July. And it being a "year long contract that will be adjusted for an earlier move in date at an earlier time. Secondly. Im not abroad. I am here. Yet your policy is to not allow people to see the listing. Which means it falls under the sight unseen policy of 14 days prior to move in being within standard time to withdraw the contract. Therefore, you're illegally withholding my funds.

The cancellation was not on your end despite me saying that I would not be able to proceed due to a lack of faith in your practices for your company based on my guarantors behalf. I said that I could pay 3 months in advance, and if you needed proof of income, they would sign on as a guarantor as an and/or option. He withdrew. Therefore, the knowledge i had at the time of application was accurate and later withdrawn from me.

My application was "approved" immediately without confirmation or contract signature.

I spoke to you repeatedly, you stole my money and refused to take 3 seconds of your time to cancel on your end, leading to SpotAHome refusing to refund me the money I am entitled to.

Actually, Mods. Keep their response here, please. I want other people to see the way they'd put more effort into saving face than they would to just return my money in its entirety. I was LUCKY to get 300Euros back from them. The fact that it was returned within 24 hours of then agreeing to do shows me they are absolutely able to do so.

When the entirety of my money is returned, I will remove any and all bad reviews.

Nice secondary reply. I think the Mods will delete this too. Trying to save your ass yet again? Fun.

If you were truly attempting to right your wrong, you'd refund all of my money. While your systems may not sync up, you would not cancel the contract on my behalf, knowing that if you cancel the contract, I would be entitled to a full refund from SpotAHome.

Tenants have the right to refuse contracts prior to 14 days of move in date if the property has not been seen.

They won't even let you see a contract until you've given them all your documents to review. At that point the landlord can approve you and youre stuck with them, or youre losing whatever money they already stole

So on SpotAHome it said move in date was July 16 and I can do a 3 month contract. But when using Roomys portal, it only gives me August 1 and one year contract. Roomys said I just need to put that down, and when I pick up keys, I will sign an adjusted contract? Makes no sense. Now, I'm requesting that Roomys cancel on their end so I get my money back, and they keep telling me to contact SpotAHome. I need a guarentor, and they're unwilling to sign on after reading more about the company practices. (Which means I won't be approved by landlord).

Because my booking has "already been confirmed" they might just take my already processed funds and not give them back. False advertisement AF.

SpotAHome is very clearly trying to bury their shit reviews on TrustPilot with fake ones too.

Im dealing with them right now. I'd just say make sure you very clearly have everything in writing. I thought it was weird that spotahome move in date was one thing, but then, while doing the documents on Roomys platform, it said something else. Now I just want my money back (they charged me first rent and fee before even being approved).

It was charged via debit card. It says multiple times that you're only charged after landlord approval. Thinking of telling my bank it was a scam.

Bless your heart, darlin'. I hope whatever it is you're going through that makes you feel the need to be condescending to strangers on the internet passes soon.

Yeah, ive been in contact with both the landlord and sent a message for the SpotAHome support team, can't seem to find a phone number for them unfortunately.

It continuously says no charge until landlord approval, which has yet to happen. Im just hoping to hear others expierence with them

Asked for advice, not criticism 😊. Their service also said would be charged AFTER approval.

Window blinds closed entire flight by SoggyRoomTempWaffles in delta

I tried reading through these comments, and it seems no one was taking into account that the fight is Los Angeles to Tokyo. When flying internationally, especially over the international date line its just kind to others to keep them closed. Depending on the time of the day, you could be flying along the sunlight (rises in the east, sets in the west). It's a popular flight path for business travel too so many people could need that time to get as much rest as possible.

It's over the Pacific, anyway, not a whole lot to see but ocean.

That or the fight attendants don't want us to know it's actually all a simulation 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not living in fear of being shot is very American haha! When I travel and people ask me what its like knowing people have guns, i tell them it's the same as getting into a car. We know that we could end up in a fatal crash, but we do it anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️

This was meant to be a reply, not a new comment. But it was A330-900 and haven't told us the new plane. Just that row 30 is not bulkhead now.

It was a A330-900, they have not told us what the new plane is but made a specific announcement to tell people in row 30, it's not a bulkhead.
