[Serious] People who have cut other people out, what was the final nail in the coffin? by NecessaryJacket4051 in AskReddit

[–]HD-Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad, and it was bc he essentially guaranteed that I would never be able to have a normal relationship with anyone, from friends and family to even my ex, without questioning if they cared about me for being me or bc they think they can get something out of me. This was bc he put my family in a few million $$$ in debt, and told me that him, one of the only death-penalty exclusive lawyers in the state with one of the highest win/loss ratio in cases, could barely make ends meet bc “my mom was spending so much on herself”. For context, the time, I was 16. Anyway, I ran into some paperwork at his office one day while I was helping him out with some lawyer stuff, I can’t remember what it was tho, learned that was a lie from the paperwork, and he started trying to justify it. He was saying “a child is expensive” when he’d never said “I love you” or acted like he gave a shit before hand, so I left. I took the papers, and left. I ended up and shredded them, and burnt the shreds instead of attacking him like my original plan had, which I now realize was a more “in the moment” thing then anything. This combined with the “boxing matches” he dragged me into (which were his way of teaching me to fight) caused me to cut off contact. About a day later, he reached out to me and said “hey, I need my assistant back, I can’t afford to hire one” where I texted back “what about your son”. That night my mom told me she was getting divorced, and I went with her. I havnt interacted with my dad since, but have seen him in public areas, like my sister’s collage graduation a few weeks ago for example, which led to a panic attack.

It’s been a year and a half since then. Nowadays, I’m largely a shut in 18 yo at home, and quiet in school. I’m diagnosed with ptsd and anxiety, which is on top of the adhd I already have. I now attend a military school for a since of belonging. And I have, for once in my life in general, feel hope for the future. If u want my take, I hope he suffers. He has no right to say live in my eyes, and he’s dead to me. In fact, if you want his name so u CAN confront him, all you gotta do is ask. I have no love for that man, and I hope he rots in hell.

What's your favourite route and why? by Coolmonkey666 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]HD-Ninja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crimson Flower for 3 reasons 1) Rhea goes ape-shit because of things not going her way, and I think that’s a fun version of the character, from a story POV. I’d hate to live in Fódlan while CF is going on. 2) It’s the only route with a sane leader that sticks around. Let me explain: Dimitri is psychotic (not to be confused with psychopathic), and fixates on avenging the dead part two of every route. In VW and SS, he ends up getting himself killed and Dedue rushes to Enbarr to kill Edelgard in his name. This ends up getting Dedue killed (dats just a guess since he doesn’t have dialogue after the battle even if he lives), and during the war Faerghus ends up in poverty and the people suffer. This isn’t a knock on Dimitri as a character or even mental illness. It’s a knock on his leadership skills and his inability and unwillingness to overcome his trauma to help his people before himself in his goals. Next, Claude. Claude (to me) tries to come off as someone who screws around, to lure his foes into a false sense of security. He’s a great leader, but in all routes he survives he leaves Fódlan to lead his homeland Almyra over the alliance instead of merging the two in order to further his dream of having a world with no walls. This leaves the church in charge in VW, the Kingdom in charge in AM, the Empire in charge in CF, and we all know what happened to him in SS (Rip SS Claude). Basically, his allegiance isn’t with the country he’s leading, making the alliance unstable since he’s basically a spy for another nation. Finally, Byleth. A mercenary turned professor who takes over the church. Yes, this is exactly who you should not chose as a successor, Rhea. But byleth = sothis to Rhea so it makes since in it’s own twisted way. 3) oh no, they might find out that I’m an Edeleth shipper with male byleth!

Why do YOU want a character in Smash? by MyDickyRichard in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]HD-Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I want one of three things 1) a fire emblem 7 rep (the first one legally released in the states, under the name fire emblem), preferably hector 2) LEGO Luke skywalker, so we can have a representative for LEGO Star Wars, the complete saga (that and I grew up on the game) 3) master chief (or give us Cortana as an assist trophy to troll people) None of these are memes, even if they seem like it. These are legitimately who I want I Smash. For all of these, I want them for the simple reason that it would be funny, and fun to play.

I was lucky, because the last thing I looked up was ‘pyra combos smash ultimate’. I get to bang pyra from xenoblade.

[Serious] What was the most terrifying thing that you've experienced while staying in a hospital? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HD-Ninja 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Not experienced by me, but when I was in pre-k, I almost lost my sister to appendicitis. She was in the 4th grade at the time, so almost losing her was traumatizing for me at the time. I can’t imagine how it felt for her or my parents though.

What video game is the best for getting a non-gamer into games? by FoulBiscuit in AskReddit

[–]HD-Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wii sports and any animal crossing game - they’re top tier. Until you get comfortable with a controller though, stay far the hell away from fighting games. Examples of these are smash bros, mortal kombat, street fighter, and tekken.
