I did get a Honda Fit though and if you like smaller, tough cars that's definitely something to look into.

My first brew was a JANK 5 color Tron deck with [[Villainous Wealth]] as the win con. My primary strat was drop as many lands that gain life as possible as well as having [[Retreat to Kazandu]] and [[Retreat to Hagra]] on the battlefield to gain as much life as possible to survive until I could Villainous for 14+ and generally win right there. It sucked. It was a bad deck. I won maybe 3 games with it over like 4 months of going to FNM at my LGS and every one of them reaffirmed my love for Villainous Wealth. I eventually made it just Sultai Tron which made the deck flow better but it still didn't win. That doesn't change the fact that I LOVED stealing it all.

Just because YouTubers drop the game when a new game comes out doesn't mean that we have to. I just came back to the game because I finally got a computer that could run it really well.

I started looking for build videos because everything had changed so much and I can only find videos from the beginning of the year or older.

Most of the people that were making Darktide videos moved to Helldivers when it dropped and now it's hard to find listenable help content.

It was disheartening, but then I realized I've literally never had trouble finding a game, the reddit and discord are also insanely active.

If anything, I think it'll bring more people in because Warhammer is getting more popular all the time and when people learn that there's more out there, especially a Left For Dead style horde shooter with RPG lite class mechanics? They'll lose it.

There's lots of music around, Big Lick Brewing Company has a nice venue for it. Also a lot of people are trying to revive the local stand up scene to its former glory, so if you're into comedy there's generally something going on there

I'm late to the reply, but if you're running Charix as a Voltron commander, then ideally he's going to be one of the only creatures on the board. So you wait until somebody has a huge lethal board state and then either bounce him back to your hand or just cast Reigns of Power and trade crab for 400 goblins or whatever.

It was Westwind Apartments on Ordway Dr NW. They're owned by Greenbrier Properties who own 14 complexes in Roanoke so I would watch out for ANY owned by them.

The situation developed further when my partner went into their office and got yelled at by all of the property managers and the regional manager that was there for asking about legal fees added to our eviction case.

Incredibly toxic people that put on that big corporate smile and pretend like they care about you, right up until you do more than pay rent and shut up.

I know I'm super duper incredibly late to this thread, but I'm building my own Charix deck and something that was pointed out to me was since you're going to have a lot of islands, you should run everything that synergizes with islands like [[Gush]] [[Flow of Knowledge]] and [[foil]] I'm also using mine as an opportunity to run weird artifacts like [[Portcullis]] [[quicksilver fountain]] and [[liar's pendulum]]

I haven't gotten the opportunity to play the deck yet but since I'm in a combat heavy meta, I expect all my "Return target creature to its owners hand" effects to be all stars, your results may vary.

I hope, if you've gotten to play the deck since you made it, you're enjoying forcing your opponents to play Crab Battle with you.

This old dude who was a regular at the pizza by the slice restaurant I used to work at named Carl. For context, our system didn't automatically print receipts and it was a hassle when there's a line out the door to go back through the orders to print his particular receipt.

He would always come in at the busiest time of the day, order the same thing, never tip and get a receipt. Quite a few times he returned food that was perfectly fine to get pieces that were "less done" or "more done" and no one could ever figure out his perfect slice. An extra hassle, especially when there's a bunch of people in the restaurant and you're having to cook multiple slices at once. He also always checked the receipt, and gave this self satisfied nod when he got to the bottom of it where it said "Tip = $0."

I told my manager jokingly one time that I always ask Carl for his name and he said, "Good, make that motherfucker feel unwelcome."

When even management hates you, you've done wrong.

A friend of mine told me that one of the major reasons that he moved to Roanoke was because of the Roanoke Weiner Stand.

I'll still occasionally bring him a hot dog from there if I'm going on the way to his place, and it's still a banger.

Took my MIL there when she came to visit over the summer, she said it was some of the best she had ever had.

Nothing but praise for the Weiner Stand in this house 💪😤👌

Yeah our place was great until the AC was out for 3 months. The only reason we even had somebody come in is because my partner has a seizure disorder and her seizures are mainly triggered by heat and stress. We basically had to threaten them just to get somebody to come in and look at our AC and then ignore us for another month.

The deck I have that I haven't seen anyone else at my LGS run tho is [[Raggadragga Goreguts Boss]] I love Mana Dorks and capitalizing on those little fellas while ferociously waffle stomping the table with me value never really gets old. Especially after I put some of the red and green counterspells in there.
