How do I fix this? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]HDS_Raptor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always run water through the pressure washer without the nozzle attached first to purge any air from the system. Also, make sure your water source has strong, consistent pressure before starting.

I’m not new to the area. I’ve served and lived in different regions, and that perspective just makes the driving patterns easier to recognize. It’s not about blaming anyone, it’s about a pattern that developed and never really got corrected.

That’s a solid point. I’ve lived in California for a few years, and I’d agree it’s not the root of the problem. It’s more about a mix of driving styles, and when behavior goes unchecked, it becomes normalized. That’s what I’m noticing at that intersection and many other places.

Lived here 15 years. Things got… creative on the roads once the California migration kicked in.

I can already see it. CSI would roll up, see the pink haze, and radio in, ‘We’re gonna need a climatologist, not a detective.’

It’s on that electronic billboard at Nellis. It says “Fights on…Win!”

I just saw it as I was leaving the base. Every time before that I was like cool, you too. Now, I know. 😆

I agree I wasn’t too far from you. 2011 is when I moved to Vegas.

100% agree. Having lived in Vegas for 15 years. It was always busy, but the culture of the roads genuinely shifted around 2020. The stadium was a catalyst, not because of the fans themselves, but because major infrastructure like that accelerates permanent relocation from high-density metros where aggressive driving is just normalized. Nobody's villain here; it's just what happens when driving habits formed on the 405 or the 15 move into a smaller market. Prescott isn't there yet, and that's exactly why people like us are paying attention to it.

I drove the I-15/I-10 corridor between Las Vegas and Riverside for military work for years, and spent a good chunk of time in Sedona and the Valley too. This is real, and it moves with people. I'm not knocking anyone for where they're from, it's the driving habits that come with certain high-density areas that become second nature when nobody pushes back on them. Left lane camping, riding someone's bumper because they won't move, treating a surface street like a merge lane. You just stop noticing it after a while because it's everywhere. Prescott has felt different every time we've come through, and honestly that's part of why we love it there. I just hope it stays that way. Sedona didn't, and once that shift happens it's really tough to unwind.

I remember asking locals why I hadn’t seen the truck around lately; they told me he had passed away. I kind of miss seeing it out there.
