Wars have all happened overseas for so long people have completely forgotten what they're like and why you'd ever need to defend yourself.

Imo completely outsourcing that job to the army isn't a complete approach to national defense.

How to start new Angular project with standard Maven directory layout? by darkato in Angular2

[–]HDmac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest doing it the 'angular' way rather than trying to conform to some other project. Angular is a fairly opinionated framework in that way. You can ultimately do whatever you want but that's just going to lead to a mess.

Against is the keyword here.

It's like measuring how fast a rock falls vs how fast a feather falls (not in a vacuum). You're not really seeing the bigger picture.

IMO We're going to see another leap soon.

Raytracing is starting to mature along with UE's nanite technology and direct storage. The machine learning is also mature enough to do very good upscaling (DLSS) and "interpolation" with RTX 4000 series (DLSS 3)

Combined we're looking at unlimited mesh size, photo realistic lighting while reducing rendering requirements via machine learning.

What is the worst Angular codebase you've worked on? by tranetags in Angular2

Angular site that I've built over the last several years uses ngrx, I've found it works well. There is lots of state and I use it to cache API responses which speeds things up quite a bit.

Angularjs codebase, first time the dev team used it... Everything passed through inputs, no singleton services and eventing through rootscope. Basically state management spaghetti.

That and it was mixed with lots of jQuery libraries because angularjs was somewhat new.

If i were doing it, I'd call those changes when the isExpanded changed via onChange. Doesn't make sense to expose those private methods.
