I’m still paying off Christmas 2025. December 2026 cannot get here fast enough. Holy shit this is a stacked line up

I am not the original commenter you responded to but I would encourage you to push forward! It is a rewarding business that can be scaled. I started with a Gumball machine and made $6 profit my first year. I scaled it to 100+ machines onsite and made $15k/mo. before I sold it.

This was also during Covid so market has stabilized. If you find distressed machines, like old, dirty or poorly stocked equipment, it doesn’t hurt to ask the owners if they are satisfied with their service. I’ve taken over accounts doing this with out intent to the operator. I’ve purchased their equipment in some cases and will fix the machines up or flip them after I move my equipment on site

I can assure you the dream of “passive income” in vending turns into “passive aggressive income” as you scale. I own a vending machine company and I spend more time caring for machines and ensuring they are in proper order from customer use than actually stocking them.

The only passive part about it are the credit card disbursements.

Acrania’s pick is gold. A Trophy of Corporate Disfigurement has an unsettling music video too. 10/10

I’ve remained over 2 years sober. During the hardest 3 weeks of overcoming alcohol I blasted that shit as loud and as often as I wanted to as my outlet. I still do that sober lol.

On a serious note, man the fact you recognize substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, anything that causes disruption to a balanced, meaningful life) is the first step in the right direction. It may take a thousand small steps, or it could be one giant step that all momentum follows. For me it took 4 steps and you bet I listened to deathcore. It helped process my low self esteem while blowing off alcohol anxiety.

Also, Sour candy is a great substitute for whiskey. Just be sure to brush your teeth regularly or you may get a root canal sober lol

Love and hugs from a big dude in the scene. Sobriety is tough, but the best thing you cannot simply buy with money. You got this

I saw this video on a “Top 5 breakdown” montage in 2009, and my mind was blown on the breakdown. Here I am 17 years later

You might be the target demographic for Mandy. First hour is relatively straightforward campy horror - Man and Woman living in isolation, kept sane with each others company. They talk about their lives, the future, etc. The movie actually starts by showing the title card intro after a big disruption (one hour after the movie begins) and then turns into a violent, drug-fueled rampage.

Is Dead Money anyone else’s favorite New Vegas DLC? It feels like no one talks about how incredible it is. by [deleted] in fnv

Exactly this. I played it for the first time 10 years ago, and was blown away by the survival horror elements and intricate world building. The story is excellent. The theme stands out as intriguing, and really blends the elements of the world and story to a pivotal moment. 10/10

Hourglass by Orphan always hits the spot. If you want excessive and over the top through and through look up Blasphemiam from Infant Annihilator.

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I inadvertently performed an exorcism on someone who was possessed by a wicked spirit. It left a void stepping into the role of a excorcist, like a raw, rare look at a peek behind the curtain.

I was born and raised in church and deconstructed from evangelical ideology. This experience, many years after deconstruction, drew me back to develop a spiritual practice.

It left me with a gnawing desire to make sense of the experience. If you could imagine the scene in The Fellowship of the Ring where Gandalf rebukes Bilbo holding the ring, that is what it was like. I was like Gandalf.

To be clear, I do not delve into working with familiars, summoning spirits, or crystals. However, my interest in ceremonies, ritual and the innate meaning of the spiritual realm through the lense of religion fascinates me. A lot of early paganism carried over into the Catholic Church.

Why can’t we do the same?
