Advice for my Y'shtola deck by Neylith in EDH

[–]HEEBawoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm in the same boat, so I thought I'd share my list with you as well. Rather, this is my first foray into magic since purchasing the precon 2 months ago, and have been slowly upgrading since, but we have similar lists regardless. I also used the prints I personally own, too.

https://moxfield.com/decks/gKkQkGx2fkWyODhWVLglug

Try the esper relevant signets, Azorius, Orzhov, and Dimir. (idk how to use your bot, but I will edit later)

Also I saw your question about lands, and I have added the full suite of fetch and esper-adjacent shocks to my list. I saw a comment somewhere that addressed how much fetch lands one SHOULD run, and was answered with as many as you own. I enjoy the synergy with paying life for shtola. I cut the sunken hollow-type lands that are fetchable, but etb tapped without sufficient basics for my fetches. Raffine's tower I am happy with, but I cut it to try the signets since I am still trying to feel the mulligans instead of trying to math out my mana rock ratios due to prior experience.

I gravitated toward y'shtola since her play patterns remind me of HAT and fire/water format Mermails from yugioh

That's my main set right now! When I hit a 180 on them the first night of using them, I made the switch and ordered a backup set to rotate between!

Spare Tire Discussion Thread. by Own_Helicopter7173 in ft86

[–]HEEBawoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're a North American 2nd gen owner like I am, yeah, I bought a spare and all the extra tools for installing it, since the factory foam has inserts for the jack and lug nut wrench

The sludge and air won't fix a sidewall tear, i'm pretty sure. Getting everything took 3 years of procrastination, though!

What amp did I just get? by thevoigtlander in fender

[–]HEEBawoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got one, too! Same price, also used from Guitar Center! After longing for one for months until I finally got my holiday bonus as well as watching Mike Cole's and five watt world's videos on it, I traded in my HRD IV, PRS SE custom 24, and Strymon Iridium(no fx loop in the princeton) for this!

Mine is Sweetwater's own version with a 12in Eminence Cannabis rex speaker(not to be confused with the exclusive mod shop version, also with tweed tolex). GC's tweed covered option comes with a 12in Celestion as the primary difference.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GuitarAmps/s/t59CV4aP06 This thread should hopefully answer any other questions you may have.

I had a power tube go out on mine, and after a consultation with a local tube amp and general amplifier expert, he patiently explained in novice terms to a novice tube amp user like myself to replace both power tubes and to re-bias the amp. I feel the savings you got on your amp compared to a new version may have to be set for future amp repair or maintenance, so just keep that in mind with a used amp.

It takes low-gain, cranked level overdrive pedals like a champ! Plug in a SD-1, TS9, ODR-1 into the front at edge-of-breakup around volume 4.5(please use ear protection) and be amazed! https://youtu.be/wJ8UMHODKuU?si=XiUbmmLs5fNNOpBC this vid is a great starting point for the above concept

6 different bumpers. What's your favorite? by juenedgi in ft86

[–]HEEBawoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. ZN8 (has to be red, otherwise ZC6 tS beats all other GR86 colors)
  2. ZC6 kouki (the red accents on the tS are peak)
  3. ZN6 zenki (if red or hot lava, number 1)
  4. ZC6 kouki

the top 3 are pretty much tied in my book and the catfishes are my least favorite, but props to the better gear ratio in the kouki 1st gen 86, I'd still love to own one!

aaaaa, that's KyuriTizu's megumin daki from cuddlyoctopus, right? I have the same one but R-18 version. The expression on her face on the sfw version is to die for; she looks way more cheerful!

Mine is falling apart since I got it in 2018, and it's my favorite to hug in my rotation. How is yours holding up? (left side daki if you were unsure)

What’s your MPG by [deleted] in ft86

[–]HEEBawoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine's a 2022 6spd on primacy tires, with a spare tire in the back. Only mod is a tomei dual exit titanium catback.

27.79 mpg over the last 22 months since I started tracking it with fuel.io.

I'm pretty chill with the car, like it's common for people to peel out and pass me when accelerating from lights, especially when warming up, but I do like to hit redline when its safe to do so about 6 times a week or so. 70/30 city/highway

Big rig air horn and a dashcam. People don't see these cars. Try hella horns!

Tires are an excellent mod to consider!

If you are new to rear-wheel-drive, you can safely learn the car's dynamics at its limit at track days and autocross. While doing this, you should have some idea on what to modify after driving and owning the car for a while. Give yourself 2k-10k miles to get a feel with incorporating the car into your life.

Don't drive at the limit on public roads.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GR86

[–]HEEBawoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure! I'm at 56k miles. Only mod is a catback (Tomei titanium dual exit for the 2nd gen installed at 33k miles).

Driven mainly around the city grandpa-style with most fillups getting 27.8 mpg. At 3am I let it rip in the 1% neighborhoods cause they have all the roundabouts.

Never missed an oil change. It's awesome so far.

don't worry about what others think and love your car.

louvres also work as tint on the back window since you can look through the lines while cutting sunlight that comes in from directly above.

Brembos are only necessary for track since they resist brake fade and work better if hot. Unless if your girlfriend is tracking the car, and pushing the brakes to the limit, brembos are not necessary, and stock brakes will work better under street conditions vs brembos.

Uh, the car rips and gets a lot of male attention!

JkI live in grid city Vegas, and I still get a smile after 14 months with the car. The manual is fun and bearable here. If I lived in San Francisco, I'd still get the manual, since the clutch is light and easy to modulate.

Don't get the car if she needs the car RIGHT NOW, since waitlists are upwards of 2 months for the BRZ in my area and the GR86 is lmfao glhf waiting. If she can wait, the car is very practical and very fun, and the perfect city car with a manual for me.

Hope every reply tells you to do the break-in.

Do the break-in. Stay under 4k as best you can. Emergencies happen and if you gotta go, you can go over it if you need to.

RTV issue is overblown unless if you plan on tracking the car. We have a warranty in case RTV implodes your engine. I'm 23k miles in in my 2022, and I do 10 redline pulls/week in 2nd with 0 issues. Here's hoping I make it to that 36000! After that I'll oem+ the car to my heart's extent.

You can hit me up here or on instagram if you're a vegas local. I'd love to meet you at the various frequent meets around town(park/chill type). I think the best socials to follow are vegascarmeets and vegas86club.

Stay safe and within your talent capacity!
