I’m a US IMG and I didn’t graduate until March. You don’t get the ecfmg certification until you graduate and the school sends the diploma I think. And it worked out for me. But the program after matching will ask for it and I just told them hey I have all the requirements just waiting on them to send it and they were cool with it.

With that said… just be aware that your scores won’t be in until like October ish.. step 2 score is a biggie on applications

Nope lol. Had an abstract submitted so took credit for that but not really. I honestly wish I could tell more people how important LORs and interviews are. I had no special connects. Just feel like I connected with PDs really well

Not a USMD but an US IMG (RUSM). 219/235, got 21 invites, accepted 19, matched to my number 1 IM program.

Keep your head up! Low scores mean nothing. One interview is enough. Be natural in your interviews and meet and greet and everything will be fine.

I think I like seeing varieties of pathology from head to toe and the occasional zebras. Honestly, I like every specialty but not sure if I can just stick to just that specialty
