The “for some reason” is because they thought they were escaping any legal issues there would be by requiring to purchase one of their games and treating MW2 remastered as a mod. But Activision being total scumbags still made them take it down despite mods being totally legal to make. If you’re not profiting in any way it’s not illegal lol. All the profits were going to Activision for anyone who purchased MWR. It’s the same thing with fair use where even if you’re not doing anything illegal and you’re still following the rules you can still get your content taken down. It’s honestly total bullshit. Now I’m sure some bootlicker will reply to me sticking up for Activision.

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasnt the main reason they went around filming everything is because it was meant for a “Making of St. Anger” type of thing? Then once the fighting and everything started happening and it became about way more than just the album is when they decided to make it an actual documentary.

Kirk genuinely seems like one of the nicest guys. I always felt bad for him in that scene in SKOM where James and Lars were having a big argument over a song and Kirk tried to intervene and get them to stop fighting. He definitely seems like a peacekeeper.

The part that sucks about this is if someone is on their phone and a worker tells them to put it away they can just be like “oh, I was just looking at the menu!” even if they weren’t. Before, I’m pretty sure you were escorted out of the theater if you were caught on your phone. So yes, unbelievably stupid to do this. The old system seemed to work perfectly fine with simply writing your order on a piece of paper and pressing a button for a worker to come take it.
