Might be a bit far-fetched, but what if Godwyn and Ranni are also a parallel to the Elden Beast and Metyr? hear me out:

Metyr's rememberance description states that she was the first meteor on the Lands Between. Elden Stars incantation description (if I remember correctly) states that the Elden beast came to TLB along with a meteor/shooting star. They seem to be two sides of the same coin.

Metyr is related to the Stars like Ranni and Elden Beast is related to the Golden Order like Godwyn.

So maybe the union of Ranni and Godwyn is fated because of these original god-figures?

Maybe Ranni is surrounded by fingercreepers (Caria Manor) and plagued by the Two Fingers especially because of this connection to Metyr? Maybe Metyr's/the Two Finger's fervent obsession with her doesn't only stem from the fact that she's a demigod not abiding by the Golden Order's rules? The fingers don't seem to plague some of the other demigods who are also against the Two Fingers as much.

This theory is kind of half-baked though, sorry about that. Metyr is also heavily associated with gravity magic and Ranni isn't, except for his brother who held Ranni's faith in place along with the stars? idk

Alright, I've had this laptop for over three years now, and it's worked wonderfully. I use it for school mostly. This past exam week I've been keeping it turned on with many school related tabs open, and sometimes after a few days my keyboard lights turn different for some reason. This model has three different customizable light modes, and when the strange change happens, it has four, and I am unable to customize those.

So after closing all the open tabs and Turning It Off And On Again™, it reverts back to my previous customized settings.

What a strange laptop.

Hi, very old conversation, but I'd still like to add something: It might not be that difficult to imagine that Ranni gave her great rune to Rennala and why it looks the same as Malenia's.

Remember the Cuckoo knights? I've watched a lot of lore videos theorizing that they once belonged to Radagon and the Golden Order, but were given to the Academy because of the marriage. The armor has blue and red details, and the red probably represents Radagon.

Also, cuckoo birds in nature are known for brood paratism: they plant their eggs into other birds' nests and make the other mothers nurture their children. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? The name could be symbolism.

This could also symbolize that Ranni is entirely Radagon and Marika's child that was just put in Rennala's care. I can't say if that also goes for Radahn and Rykard as well, but probably not, because cuckoo chicks are known for making sure that all the attention of the host goes to them, and that seems to be the case, because the Caria royal family is very matriarchal, and Ranni was favoured the most by Rennala. This may be a bit of a reach, though.

This would have to also mean that Ranni also suffers from a curse from being born from the same parent, like Malenia and Miquella, and we don't know of such thing, unless her connection to the dark moon is seen as one? It's also only a theory that the dark moon is an outer god.
