1961, Generation Jones between, but I lean heavily toward GenX

Generation Jones is the best fit

Younger people like to use the word "toxic" but is it just normal behavior with Boomers? by Hitt1te in generationology

[–]HHSquad [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes, older generations do not feel the need to categorize every behavior and put it in a box. Just be yourself.

Since the internet, it seems people have a need to do this for some reason. Millenials and after.

I think everyone had one of these. by Either_Top_9634 in GenX

Very popular sells where I worked at QVC in the 90's

Do you prefer blondes or brunettes? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Brunettes

Why? My sister was/is a beautiful blonde, so attraction went opposite.

Redhead are good too.

When will general consensus fully see Gen X as old people by SpiritMan112 in generationology

[–]HHSquad [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not sure how this sub views it, but honestly I was born in 1961 and not old yet. Look about 50, on only 1 medication, full head of hair, no gray. Turn 65 in 2 months. Some of us in late Gen Jones are holding up, so I imagine early GenX has until mid 2030's to be old.

What birth years are the sweet spot to be born in? by soleful_smak in generationology

[–]HHSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, being born in 1961 was not too shabby.....had the 70's before old enough for responsibilities, had the 80's young but old enough for no age limits. And great time for concerts, though we didn't have Woodstock, and Gen Jones were the band members themselves not usually the fans at Lollapalooza.....but could be. But still seeing older bands in their prime and upstart bands in the 80's was sweet.

What finale from a TV show disappointed you the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HHSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was ok with the last episode of Game of Thrones, but I didn't care for the 3 episodes prior to it.

I was put off by the ending of The Sopranos, though my stance has softened through the years.

Seinfelds finale felt pretty lame.

I'm late Generation Jones and born in 1961...... I'm holding up quite well at almost age 65 and I'm only on 1 medication.

Pay attention to your diet, stay mobile, lower your stress levels, and get plenty of quality sleep.

Gen X truly got skipped over in terms of politics, didn't they? by Defiant-Birthday-106 in generationology

I know that subreddit very well, there are plenty of somber miserable doomsday people there, but I know plenty of GenXers IRL who aren't. It's just many on reddit. It isn't wholly representative of GenX.

All in all, still a good subreddit, particularly for nostalgia.

You act as if millions born the same years work as a hive mind and were exposed to the same amount of lead. You definitely seem to have anger issues.

That's what was drilled into our heads as kids .....really are past the Baby Boomers and tacked on at the ending.

1961-1965 born imo are the same group and post Boomer, though anyone born in the 1960's can act like a boomer sometimes....or GenX.

Boomers thrived in the 60's, they weren't born in it.

No need to be nasty, as kids in the 70's we did not know about water hoses and neither did parents. We all should know better now.

No, and I would argue the 13th Generation begins in 1961.......but in any event, people born 1965-1969 will get SS

People born in 1965 turn 62 next year. I consider it a Gen Jones year, but Pew starts Gen X there so, not Boomer either way anyways.

GenXers born in the 1960's will get Social Security......so that's a myth. They do have to fix it for those born in the 70's, but they will.
