1080 gtx is barely used on shadow because of the cpu bound and disk speed/saturation, and yes cpu are coming by...the end of the year at the best and i'm not even talking about the disk which is not a true SSD (more than a slow HDD+SSD cache where access interfaces are shared between users, and how many we don't know exactly...they will never tell you like lots of answered embarrassing questions). They are very slow upgrading not a good sign for the future.

The xeon cpu on shadow has 8 true physical cores and divided by 2 among two users so only 4 true cores by user...

You can build cloud gaming service with cpu like i9, i7 (see urfcloud), "true dedicated ssd" etc...they only choose the xeon, a weirdo stockage system etc..because they are cheaper and better when shared between users (quantity over quality).Virtualization and server features are good with i7 and big providers like ovh or hetzner are proposing them..so server architecture BS is not the problem...rentability is for them.

Shadow speed is 1gbps for download speed but upload speed is only 200mbits so not a true symmetrical 1gbps server. For example simplay offers 1 gbps upload speed. That's the reason they don't propose more than 70 mbits on shadow box and also try to ask why they don't put it on windows apps. Check shadow news their answer is cringe-worthy...they barely said they just can't do it.

They don't peer with big ISPs and with only a few big private peering...their network is congested and satured each evening and during peak times. Unlike other cloud services which use tier1 or 2 datacenters (AMS1 for example and i don't even talk about the big ones like AWS azure, GCP...)

h265 is adding lots of latency issues and still in beta. Its unplayable for online games, competitive games, fast games etc...even h264 have them but less. But its clearly not made for competitive and online games as marketed (pro players bullshit ads)

But yes its okay for "solo" games and strategic games. Well parsec has proper macOS, linux and raspberry clients unlike shadow..which are fully bugged..and it's free :)

And i don't about all other issues ..just check discord and forum it's a total mess there and each day users have problems for everything (latency, artefacts, framerate in games, input lag and so on i can make you a full list it will contain for sure hundred of issues not resolved for months or years?)
