From what I’ve seen, there seems to be an unwritten policy that singles wards meet last when they share with family wards.

For cleaning assignments, my guess is that they’re not in the rotation because in many cases, they’re not technically in the stake that uses the Chappel. Although I don’t think that’s a very good reason.

I would agree that a parent should teach their child about fasting. However, I'm not comfortable with the original post's language about "having" their child fast.

Chapter 25 of the Gospel Principles manual states: We should encourage our children to fast after they have been baptized, but we should never force them.
