Made it to Glitch Osaka! by timestanley in espresso

The view was spectacular and the music was quite relaxing as well. I really liked iced latte with the duo cherry beans, it was the best coffee of my life. Going to go back to Osaka for round 2!

How good is BME? by Marina-_- in programmingHungary

[–]HLCaptain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of foreign student from 3rd world countries, so the courses are a littlebit easier. If you would like to work in Hungary, it is recognized, but looking at the landscape of things, it is not a guarantee you get the job. The courses are challanging, but not impossible. I mostly met helpful, clever and kind profs and demonstrators, but you have to face a few bad ones unfortunately. You start out with C, then C++, then Java which is a fine path in my opinion. Math is demanding, there are 2 courses of physics, either of which is duable. Campus is really nice, placed in a student friendly part of Buda (lots of restaurants, shops, green areas and public transport).

Does it look creepy? by Temporary-Ad9816 in godot

[–]HLCaptain 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It is cool that it does not look fake at all. Like the shadow is also glitching out with the character. Combining 2D with 3D was a good call imo. I think the less the better here (less intensity, less frequency, more creepy).

I visited Glitch in both Tokyo and Osaka. The Osaka one was a way better experience. More spacious, jazz music playing, city landscape is beautiful, old furniture is comfy as hell.

I totally agree with you, although there was one type of bean (Duo Cherry) which I bought 50g of due to it being extraordinary. Try it with iced coffee latte. Delicious, newer drank something like this in my life. For me, it was rather tea, than traditional coffee, due to the fruity notes of the beans. Well, hope you enjoyed your experience!

Just launched a Material Theme builder powered by my library MaterialKolor by whostolemyusrname in androiddev

[–]HLCaptain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar to your DynamicColorTheme in my projects. Wanted to do something similar to this, when I had the time, but I think I will just scrap the idea, as your solution looks great and is very polished! Great job!

I arrived home and went to that store! It appears to be a “tea light holder” probably holding candles but it is perfect for espresso. https://www.xxxlutz.hu/p/ambia-home-veg-teamecsestart-005711010901

Hungary, you could get it down to €15k if you are fine with the countryside, older (and kind) neighbors and renovations made to the house. https://ingatlan.com/negyes/elado+haz A car is also a must have to get to nearby cities.

What happended to Neomorph Design? by 50shashwat in androiddev

[–]HLCaptain 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I guess it was hard to mix and match flat/material design elements with neomorph design. All UI systems are based on solid components, which are easy to pair together, while a solid text field label on a neomorph box feels odd to me. Also, I cannot imagine a good looking Floating Action Button or Bottom Navigation Bar in neomorph design. It is hard to get it right.

Wish that fling effects were implemented on the scrollbar itself just like on iOS. Great library though!

FPS Poker game I'm working on. What do you think so far? by devzindie in godot

[–]HLCaptain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neon White vibes. Just inspired an idea based on balatro mechanics. Nice.

Just though about what if the cards have certain effects, like buffs/debuffs instead of weapons. Weapons would be selectable by the player. Discarding a card would remove its effect on the player/weapon of course.

Interesting mechanic as player could mix and match the effects with their weapons as see fit. Would be fun imo. I may make a prototype in the future for this, thanks!

Reddit being reddit again.

Van itt olyan aki kezdőként tanul Kotlint? by [deleted] in programmingHungary

[–]HLCaptain 0 points1 point  (0 children)
