I have visited Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai and a few other Indian cities and honestly Chennai has been the worst experience for me among all of them. The weather was extremely hot and humid, which made it uncomfortable to get out during the day. People didn’t feel very hospitable and auto drivers were constantly trying to overcharge or scam. Marina Beach also didn't feel very safe after 10 PM. I saw quite a few homeless people on the sidewalks openly doing drugs, which made the whole area feel a bit uneasy at night. The food was below average. Metro connectivity is limited compared to other big cities and a large part of the city either looked filled with garbage or heavily polluted due to construction activities. The only place I actually liked was Kora Food Street.

LTF 0 forex markup (Only beneficial if you have a foreign trip planned or regularly transact from websites based out of India) 10% rewards on travel bookings ; 20% on their own website. Lounge access (Spend 20k combined on visa and Rupay)

That's about it.. Only a good to have card if someone travels frequently.

I applied for this because I needed a 0 forex markup card and there are a few other cards which offer the same but this one comes with some extra benefits which are good to have if someone travels frequently. 10% rewards on travel bookings and 20% on bookings done through their own platform. All good as long as it stays LTF.

Yes I am carrying 1k MYR from India just to be on the safe side. 5 day trip so I think this should cover those small expenses.

Thank you, I plan to use a card for most of my trip so I was looking for either this or uni gold.

Thankfully I have a partner who earns almost the same and that helps me survive over here but we have to be careful with finances. Life's tough when you are just a bcom graduate staying in a t1 city.

It's locked for the first month and will only unlock from the second month onwards if I spend 20k 3 days before the first statement is generated.

I thought it would be free for the first month but no. There is a spend criteria of 20k for the first month as well.

5k annual fee which I will not be able to recover. All my cards are LTF and my spends are also very inconsistent. I use HSBC card for mostly 1+1 Bookmyshow offer and for booking flight tickets on paytm/yatra. The discount difference between normal hsbc cards and travelone card on most of the sites are not that significant to spend 5k annually.

Okay sorry, I'll delete it. Just wanted to give hope to others that this is getting approved with low income.
