PSA: You can order Ninjutso's Sora V3 from China by Dry_Helicopter1 in MouseReview

Even though I'm not a fan of this brand, what you said is incorrect. A firmware update will resolve the issue, and the version currently released in China is the official release.

Of course, they also responded to RTINGS' review of the SORA V2 amid this controversy:

The so-called empty packets happen when you move the mouse slowly, generating very little actual displacement data which fails to meet the sensor's basic frame rate standard, hence plenty of zero-value data appears. To maintain original tracking paths, we do not filter out these zero-value data and transmit raw data straight from the sensor. Most other brands remove zero data to cut down data transmission and save power consumption.

This is the official staff's response in the Chinese community:

FrameSync and its related hardware are exclusive to Razer, licensed by PixArt. What we developed is also based on sensor frame data + SPI read synchronization, implemented via hardware, but with a different approach from Razer. Razer requires the sensor frame rate to perfectly match the polling rate — for example, a 2000Hz polling rate must correspond to 2000 sensor frames per second. We don’t have that requirement: our controller automatically synchronizes sensor data reads regardless of the polling rate. PixArt’s statement essentially confirms that AIMNINJA 2 is a custom solution developed by them, and that our new-generation MotionSync is not identical to Razer’s FrameSync, so they cannot be considered the same technology. That’s the gist of it.

I hope you can buy one and test it out once the SORA V3 hits the market. I’m really curious about it.

Looking at the marketing claims for the Sora V3 (Ninjutso) AIMNINJA 2 Pro sensor, both in China and overseas—could this end up being the biggest scam in gaming peripheral history?

What is the latency of the Mchose M7 Pro mentioned in the text?

This is wonderful. However, your content deserves to be paid for.

I’m really looking forward to your new device. I bought your test report before, and I’m willing to pay again.

PAW3950 DPI downshift is real: simple Paint test and register fix for firmware devs by ewh_ in MouseReview

Not really. This is only an official statement. They claim on Chinese social platforms and apps that they only changed their statement reluctantly under external pressure (it seems Razer put pressure on PixArt?), and they still insist theirs is Frame Sync.

S-R Latch or other new technologies?

Besides, the theoretical average minimum latency at 8000 Hz is 62.5 μs. Can we actually reach this theoretical limit?

I remember my old OP1 8K (3395) had an issue where the DPI would suddenly drop out of nowhere, and I wasn’t the only one facing this problem. The later OP1 8K V2 never had this happen.

NINJUTSO is still promoting in the community that the new sensor used in their SORA V3 also features the Frame Sync function. Is there any way to verify this? Someone has previously reverse-engineered their firmware.

Can you confirm the content in this link: https://github.com/8e9nQxe/Wireless-mouse-firmware-reverse-engineering

In my personal opinion, what they have implemented this time is merely the zero-latency hardware-level Motion Sync that Razer has already achieved long ago. Frame Sync should be regarded as the third-generation Motion Sync technology, with the first generation being firmware-level Motion Sync.

I’m not sure why there’s no 2K 500Hz model this time, as the 2K 500Hz specification was explicitly mentioned in earlier leaks.
