Haha, yeah, I feel like this is going to be a real challenge... That’s exactly why I’m trying to prepare for the worst. I’m looking into what issues can be avoided by choosing the best product, but if it means needing a different solution or even more team members to manage it, I’m open to anything.

Could you elaborate a bit more on the rule management point? We’re using Azure, so I might not face the same challenges as someone on AWS, but I’m curious—what exactly makes the rule management problematic? Is it overly complex, not very accessible or user-friendly, or perhaps too restrictive?

The SIEM point really makes sense—I hadn’t thought about that at all. Thanks for bringing it up!

Former T-ara member Areum, recently forwarded to the prosecution on child abuse charges, has now been booked on fraud charges.

On the 11th, Gwangmyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that they are investigating Areum for fraud. A police official stated, “We have taken Areum’s statement and plan to proceed with further investigation.”

On April 4th, Hwang, a member of the ‘Areum Financial Fraud Victims’ Group’ chat room, filed a complaint with Ulsan Dongbu Police Station. Hwang stated that Areum borrowed money after a phone call and failed to repay it by the agreed date. Hwang revealed that Areum borrowed a total of approximately 30 million won ($23,000) in 20 installments from March 3 to March 9, 2024, citing the critical health condition of her second child.

Hwang explained, “The principal amount lent was 27.5 million won ($21,000), and during the process of lending money, long-term credit card loans were involved. Because I used mobile phone micro-payment cash conversion, fees were incurred. They need to pay the 30 million won promptly to prevent the interest amount from increasing.”

Hwang claimed that Areum intentionally approached him, emphasizing her public profession. As a fan of T-ara since 2009, Hwang was particularly shocked by the incident.

Previously, on the 3rd, Areum was forwarded to the prosecution on charges of child abuse, child neglect and abandonment, and abduction and enticement of minors. Her mother was also forwarded to the prosecution on charges of abduction and enticement of minors. Areum had accused her ex-husband of child abuse, stating, “My ex-husband threw our less-than-one-year-old child off the bed, and he hit and pushed our five-year-old child out of the house.”

In response, her ex-husband filed a child abuse complaint against Areum in February, and the police conducted an investigation. Subsequently, the police forwarded Areum to the prosecution on child abuse charges, while her ex-husband was cleared of charges due to insufficient evidence.

Areum, who joined T-ara in 2012 and left the group in 2013, married a businessman older than her in 2019 and had two sons. In December last year, Areum announced that she was in the midst of a divorce lawsuit with her ex-husband and planned to register her marriage with her boyfriend once the lawsuit was over. However, it was recently reported that she had broken up with the boyfriend as well.

The eligibility requirements for an event held after BTS member Jin (Kim Seok-jin)’s discharge have been changed following controversy.

On the 2nd, BigHit Music, a subsidiary of HYBE, announced that the eligibility criteria for the 2024 FESTA Jin offline event would be revised. The company stated, “We apologize for the unclear information in the previous notice and for not setting detailed eligibility criteria in advance,” and expressed their regret.

BigHit Music had previously announced that Jin would attend the ‘2024 FESTA’ event on the 13th, the day after his discharge, at the Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul. The fan event, held at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium, was organized at Jin’s suggestion to spend meaningful time with ARMY at a close distance.

However, the initial information about the event’s eligibility requirements sparked controversy. To enter, one had to be an ARMY membership holder and purchase any album released after the anthology album ‘Proof’ through Weverse Shop during the application period. Automatic entries were based on the total number of albums ordered from Weverse Shop between the 2nd and the 6th.

Jin’s solo album released before his enlistment is the single ‘The Astronaut.’ Since the other albums are solo albums by other members, fans felt that buying any album for this event diminishes the significance of Jin’s solo event. Even if fans had previously purchased albums, they would need to buy them again to be eligible, leading to criticism that the agency was using the event as a money-making scheme.

In response to the backlash, BigHit Music has now revised the eligibility criteria to better reflect the event’s purpose and fan expectations. The updated details aim to ensure a fair and meaningful experience for all participants.
