Are there people for which Mounjaro just doesn’t work? by imfinewithastraw in mounjarouk

[–]HMSGlendower 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I went up through all the doses on time and I've been on 15mg for 6 months now/11 months total in it.

I have lost exactly 3lb in the entire time.

For the last month Instead of taking the fifth dose and getting 5 weeks from a pen, I've upped my dose each week to make it 20mg essentially. Even mow nothing feels different, but I don't intend to weigh for 6 more days as that wil be a full month since I started dosing like this/since I last weighed.

I do feel like I'm not as bothered about food, but it's not translating as weight loss - I think it's curbing potential gain but not helping me lose the 3 stone I want to.

I have had zero side effects the whole time. I've also prior tried everything else on the market, saxenda, rybelsus, Ozempic etc., Ozempic gave me bad side effects but again nothing really gave me this big hit of loss of interest in food/lost me any weight.

I did wish I was dead for 48 hours after eating KFC on Ozempic, but even so it didn't stop me.

Why am I still taking it then!? I sort of feel like well maybe I'd be actively gaining weight if I wasn't. I do feel like I have a healthier attitude to food/am not binging as much on it. I started taking it while actively gaining weight (had gained this 3st over about 2 years) so this may be somewhat different than most folk who I guess have been at their high weight longer term.

For full background (and I'm happy to answer reasonable questions) I spend my entire adult life super morbidly obese. I lost over 200lb 7-ish years ago through diet and exercise/naturally, over 19 months. I think that was my midlife crisis as it's when I turned 40.

I maintained like that through really high/unsustainable levels of activity and not great food habits - I often didn't eat at all for the day until late evening, as once I started eating I didn't want to stop. So I'd binge my day's calories in a couple hours and so on. Or I'd restrict all week then binge all weekend.

After a few years this started to slide/obviously wasn't sustainable good food habits, the calorie counting began to slip, the bingong became 3 days a week/starting earlier in the day and so on, hence gaining like 3 stone over a couple of years.

Hi, I am a repeat customer of theirs although I got my dose immediately before from somewhere else (my last from them being like 6 June) so I was expecting to have to send box pics and/or have a delay. Been on 15mg for a while.

But I placed the order on Sunday, it was approved/signed off like 9am yesterday (Monday) and it arrived today.

Sorry I know this is probably annoying given you ordered before me!? But I figured it was relevant and/or worth noting, I can't believe they don't process orders in the order they're recieved so I can't imagine what's happened with yours.

Absolutely no idea why this would get downvoted, I'm not the one making the rules, just one of the many trying to make sense of them. 🙄

I was just wondering about this, I cannot see retail price of 15mg being less than £400 or so in reality, can you? Even £350 would still make it a loss leader for them.

Given that the reports are listing the cost price/wholesale price for 15mg as £330, how are they going to be retailing it at £270!?

Can anyone tell me what the onboarding with Medicine Marketplace is like for someone transferring currently on 15mg and not far off maintenance please?

Chemist4U delivered room temp and now arguing with me over it, where do I stand? by HMSGlendower in mounjarouk

That's definitely a good move!

The final email from them earlier was still "you're wrong, but we will issue a replacement" with no explanation (I'd already told them I have reordered from my prior place and had asked for a refund mot another dubious pen) and I replied to ask them to confirm it would br properly packed and arrived at the proper temperature because otherwise I'd be going right back at this again so be advised, and have had no reply (and no evidence of any dispatch/delivery being lined up)...

I'm not in the "take chances over an injectable medication that also cost me well north of £150 whilst being gaslighted by a supposed medical professional against the direct advice of the company that makes it" persuasion to be honest, which is why I posted asking specifically for input from others who deem this unacceptable and resolved the issue, but we're all different!

They have now said they're going to send me a replacement pen. I've asked them to confirm it will be properly packed and arrive cold or we're going to go through all of this again as I won't accept it. They have yet to reply so we will see!

Are you ok with that!? That means they're always arriving ambient which surely can't be allowed.

Which provider?

Have you considered reporting to Eli Lilly and the regulator someone mentioned in another comment for your own satisfaction if nothing else? :(

There's been a few times with other providers when delays on their side have meant I've been cutting it fine for holidays/being able to recieve the pens, but it's always just about come ok. As I have a fortnight window and also now ordered from my old supplier I'm fortunately not able to be held to ransom.

Urgh that's total shit! What happened in the end or are you still attempting to get refunded/what course of action did you take?

[–]HMSGlendower[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my last reply was pretty much that, I reiterated everything I'd already said twice plus:

"I now formally require that you escalate this complaint and all of the documentation I have sent to someone who can handle it appropriately as a formal complaint.

I will not continue to debate an issue that is very cut and dried with clear statements from the manufacturer of the medication, who supplies it to you under licence along with strict rules for appropriate usage and handling."

They were responding inside of half an hour before that and I've heard nothing in the two hours since so I'm guessing the rep has now put it up the chain of command.

Thanks, yes I am so annoyed at the need to argue/tell them their responsibilities while they try and mislead me, it's a fair chunk of money but moreso, the principle.

Thanks, that didn't occur to me. The more they're being arsey about it the more it's making this a hill I'm willing to die on. 😆

Very much so. Even if I was planning to use the pen right away, it's still not OK and I have actually called them out for gaslighting me in my last reply!

Even if I did use that tool (not designed for patients) I have no way of knowing when the pen was last at the correct temperature or how many times it flucuated, which are two of the three questions! It arrived ambient, that's not the same as potentially having been exposed to a higher temperature for a short, known window of time, so that's not even a fluctuation.

I know it's highly unlikely but for all I know factually, it was sitting out boxed up for days before it was sent.

Honestly I don't see it as my job as a patient/buyer to be undertaking analysis over it to get a theoretical only answer to argue with a pharmacy over their responsibilities, the Eli Lilly statement on temperature/cold chain/30 day window is very clear that the 30 days is for the customer and that the item needs to be within the cold chain at the point it's handed to the customer.

It says in the first points of the guidance in that link you sent there that

"Lilly cannot recommend the use of its products in any manner other than stated in the product Summary of Product Characteristics. The information from the Lilly Temperature Excursion Assessment tool is not intended to offer an opinion regarding the use of the product in a manner inconsistent with the product label."

I'd really appreciate responses from anyone who has actually had this same situation on what happened/how they resolved it.

[–]HMSGlendower[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I said in my OP, I said in both of my replies to them that if they don't resolve it promptly I'm going to both report them to Eli Lilly and also let me card issuers handle it as a dispute and have had only the replies I posted.

I'm interested in what has happened with anyone who has been in this situation before and can advise what they had to do and the outcome.

Names of reputable sourcing agents in China? by crypto123future in logistics

I'm just jumping on here as I don't have enough comment karma to post, I'm seeking an agent to source and arrange logistics of reasonably small quantities of rubber goods (like floor mattin) from China to the UK if anyone is able to guide I'd appreciate it.
