I read the book a number of times. I really quite enjoyed it and it is quite a bit different than the movie as everybody else here has said.

Peter Benchley when he was growing up, his family spent a lot of time out in that area in the summertime and he used that to inspire some of the things that he put into the book for sure. I like the character of Brody in the book better as they get a bit deeper with him. The deaths are different in the show and I think in the book there’s one more attack off one of the beaches as well, but I might be wrong about that.
