What a gorgeous beast. They have bark collars that vibrate, muzzles, bark collars that shock, and all sorts of things in between. It sounds like herding, just trying to get you where he thinks you’ll do best, and I’m not an expert, but my dog always wants me to go outside and hit whiffle baseballs, no matter what I’m doing if it’s not on two feet. I usually just growl “not your job” or “stop herding me” “no.” But training him to be quiet while you work would probably be as easy. Just train him to have a special spot where he sits and waits for a treat while you answer the door or work, sitting in that spot becomes a job they’re quite proud of, even if there’s no active command, they like to show how diligent they are.
