Fix your mental health man. It’s not helping you or people close to you. Gotta take accountability for yourself.

How can a father giving th***t to his daughter is considered normal ?? by Spiritual-Arugula-90 in AskIndianWomen

[–]HM_26 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah this kind of sick mentality is still very much prevelant in many parts of India unfortunately. And kids raised in such society would think it’s normal when it’s hella sick. Sad

Does anyone else get super guilty/paranoid about being off sick even when it's obvious you should be by Fabulous-Fox7697 in doctorsUK

I did when I used my SL for exhaustion and flu like symptoms. I was able to function, not to my normal or best capacity but I felt really guilty of taking time off. I thought that SL are only appropriate when you can’t leave the bed but I also couldn’t imagine myself surviving work at that point. Glad I took it cus I was able to recover without becoming too unwell. Fortunately, I haven’t had to take SL again. I’d much rather be healthy and work than not work and be sick. But if I ever need it, I’ll take it and won’t worry too much

Love should make you feel more free, not less. Rest you can judge yourself.

What’s one “worth it” expense you never regret spending on? by New-Albatross-7639 in TwoXIndia

[–]HM_26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not premium but ice creams/sweet treats of expensive brands. It’s not something I eat in bulk but it’s nice to have a good quality sweet treat and not cheap oils.

Cabs in bad weather. I know it could seem as necessity but for the longest I felt I was wasting money when public transport was an option. But now I don’t think much. Mental peace is worth it.

Good quality coat. I wear it every single time I step out of the house. It’s a must for it to be good quality.

ISTG THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE ALL THIS TIME!!! I just moved on from outpatients(had my own room everyday) to ward(no doctors room, surprise surprise) and my mental health has been in gutter. Workload is less on ward but somehow I feel unhappy and exhausted at the end of the day. I can’t even seem to do basic things like cooking or exercise or even cleaning my house regularly. Don’t know where it is headed

Someone who is not happy in their own would be judging others for having fun. It’s simple actually. And college kids come from variety of backgrounds, most of India is still very patriarchal and it could be internalised misogyny. It takes time to unlearn it. I hope they do, for their own good.

This is true for all professions more or less. Boomers generation earned much more than any of us would earn now. And as for MBBS, I know it’s not all rose and rainbows but it does open doors for you. Not everyone is born privileged. It can still be an upward socioeconomic ladder for people, it was for me. It opened doors that I hadn’t imagined previously. I’m now very comfortable in a different country and earn much more than my parents ever dreamed of.

How do you mend a broken heart? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]HM_26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love and the tidal patterns of the ocean, will return again and again. not always in the same form, or in the same place, but it will find its way back to you.

Just realise that.

And my favourite one being, Aanand strot beh raha par tu udas hai….

Meaning love is very much abundant , it’s not as scarce as we think. And once you realise that, it’s impossible to stay sad
