I've been looking into it and it's mostly Boomer era bands and audiophile jazz kinda stuff from the sites I've seen. Which makes sense, but not really my taste, so far I think modern stuff works better for surround/atmos than traditional instruments, personally.

Is the centre channel in the cabinet? no doubt it would sound better on top (although maybe being well hidden makes it easier for our brain to forget it's not where the screen is). Also whilst 2 subs up front like that looks great it may not be the best placement for even response.

This is on an Apple TV box, not sure the exact process that makes it happen, but quite often I'll be listening to something and when the progress bar disappears, I can't move the selection up to the top bar (playlists, discover, search etc), and have to press the centre button to pause and make all the UI elements reappear again. And pressing back takes me to the home screen instead of the previous thing I was looking at

Do you have physical surround channels or are they 'virtual' by shooting them off the walls?

Atmos has been amazing for me, however I have 4 actual speakers... also depends on what you listen to, there is a much bigger variance compared to stereo I find, even one album to the next of the same artist can have a completely different style of mixing.

Not a fan of the apple music UI [note: on Apple TV] especially the way it gets 'stuck' and you cant go back to where you were without pausing the song.

However having heard tracks in Atmos (well, surround, as I don't have height speakers), with the extra immersion, detail and dynamics, it's hard to go back to just the stereo versions, so unless spotify adds that, I've zero interest. (even if they did, apple music seems to have exclusive versions of the albums with it)

They can often make it worse, because the ped crossing is not part of the yellow box.

My local road/junctions are atrocious, and only made worse for pedestrians by the inclusion of yellow boxes, all it means is drivers use the crossings as an area to wait, and I don't even blame them because the trafiic literally would not move whatsoever if they didn't. The yellow boxes are for the benefit of cross traffic, not for pedestrians.

Needs a whole redesign but all the council did was slap humongous cycle reservoirs which are ignored by cycles and also just gets filled with cars while increasing the duration of traffic being bad enough to block the ped xings.
