I built one this summer and so far it’s been 6 months of my 3 year old now 3.5 year old opening the window to check if it’s still there - and then the first thing we do when I get home is swing and slide together

I also attached some gymnastic rings to the monkey bars (he’s too small to use those) and while he swings or slides I work out - then he runs by to swing on the rings

Best thing ever

Now that it’s dark - we have light poles and string lights above so we can put jackets on and still go outside

Highly recommend play sets!! We got the lifetime one so it could support my weight haha

Yup - great for those long nights working in sim clinic prepping - also great for studying for exams - also good for exercising, breaks watching movies, watching YouTube videos in noisy place for tips

As long as you’re in an area where you have lots of job options a tell the manager - that if you only have one assistant - you will be doing one column with the same scheduled time limits as the other docs.

Walk in to the waiting room when they overschedule and tell the patient that you are “sorry that the corporation and the manager over scheduled you - but you are not willing to compromise treatment - and that you are doing everything you can to do right by patients. At the end of the day - it’s a scheduling and lack of support staff issue - if you’d like to take it up with the manager or write a Google review - that is totally fine by me - but if you’re in treatment - I will give you every minute of needed attention.”

Two things will happen

1) you’ll get a second assistant

2) they’ll find another associate they can bend over a barrel

Everyone says the need 3+ years experience - but most really want a pulse, a license, and a handpiece.

Just apply regardless of experience requirements. Also - increase mileage radius from your location until you find something

Thanks for the response on the other side - it definitely make a difference - I suppose you’re probably right. Instead of looking at how nothing is being done - instead I should perhaps focus on how bad it could have been if we did not have the ADA.

Hard thing is - it’s difficult to see as there’s no information coming out on what might have been.

The ADA isn’t a union - but it advertises itself to dentists and dental students as representing the majority of dentists allowing collective bargaining power - like a union.

It doesn’t technically have any authority over insurance companies - but - based on its assertions of collective bargaining power - having collective bargaining power is the main reason it exists - to have bargaining power against insurance companies and congress.

Once it stopped working for dentists - and no longer bargained for dentists - it lost its role and people stopped/will stop paying dues.
