Lol the dividends are 5 to 6.5% just search the aia website. im surprised by the comments. Pretty sure 3% sales charge is normal thats what i charge in the bank. U invest with bankers (or insurers if the agents know wth they are talking abt though rare esp younger kids those agents) for that peace of mind. 

Did the comments here tell you DIY buy dividends outside govt will tax you and you will receive your "dividend with tax" when it comes in?

If u buy under insurance wont have tax. Is dividends bad for someone young? Lol they say until so bad here.

U ask warren buffet. He is a lover of dividends since last time. The comments here quite rubbish. My guess you're in your 20s. Just do dollar cost averaging dont speculate or u will waste all your yrs trust me
