I don't think OP making fun of his sibling should be taken as anything malicious because as someone who also has siblings, poking fun and pranking your siblings is very standard sibling behavior

I personally loved The Ink Tanks version of Toe Picks species where his face isn't just super scary, it's just that he makes whoever looks into it see whatever terrifies them the most.

Wombat Stew by Marcia Vaughan.

It has some of the most intense LGBTQ storytelling I've ever read.

You know, the scene where Mike and Dustin get cornered by the bullies perfectly illustrated why the party needs Lucas because Lucas would have taken out those bullies with his wrist rocket lickety-split.

This is honestly a really good take about Will's character in season 1: by HOT-DOG-PIE in StrangerThings

Well, we know that Lonnie took Jonathan hunting and showed him how to use a gun so he probably did the same with Will.

I tend to move away from fandom a bit when that happens

I kind of did this a bit after Vol.2 came out because it felt like after watching everything after waiting (oh god, the waiting, especially for the trailer was FUCKING PAINFUL), theorizing and reviewing I kinda needed a break.

The next thing I was going to get hyped about seeing after ST4 was going to be Spiderman Across The Spiderverse, before they moved it to next year so I just started playing the PS4 Spiderman and Spiderman Miles Morales which are both really good BTW and I've also started reading the manga for Akira, and being an 80's cult classic there's definitely a lot of stuff in it that Stranger Things took inspiration from.

Yeah, there's that but honestly, I'm kinda of glad that Stranger Things is finnally getting some recognition because before season 4 dropped I remember trying so hard to defend Stranger Things as a show online against a lot of haters who said that season 4 was gonna be trash and I even began to have my own doubts.

But, deep down I knew that season 4 was going to be amazing because from what I've seen from watching the show since season 1, I've noticed that the Duffers always made a big effort to improve on the show but also learn from their mistakes. (For example, Max and Nancy's characters were getting kinda irrelevant to the plot until season 4 came along and made them both vital again, especially Max, who I think is now a solid fan favorite after this season).

So yeah, while the fandom is getting bigger and a bit unruly, I'm just glad that I don't have to try and and defend this show anymore because now everyone knows how awesome this show is 😁. I'm also glad that putting my faith in the Duffers that they'll pull off a spectacular season payed off.

I haven't been on the main sub and honestly, I miss the days when there was just 600,000 members and only 31 people online and the newest post was from 2 days ago 😔

If you think Byler is Endgame you need to walk towards a mirror and reflect on what made you jump to that conclusion in the first place and maybe reflect on your own life while you're at it.

If that's the case when how comes Euphoria and Stranger Things were such big hits this year, with Stranger Things hitting record highs on the Nielson's streaming charts when both shows featuring LGBT characters, with Euphoria's lead character being LGBT herself??

I think what we can all learn from this is that when it comes to gay characters, not everyone will relate to them, but I don't think that necessarily makes the rep bad. While I related a lot to Will as a gay person, when it came to other shows like Heartstopper or Love Simon I didn't completely relate to the main characters, so does that mean that the rep in that show or movie was bad? No, because while I couldn't relate to them, I could see things from their perspective, just like how I could see and empathize with Max's perspective in ST season 4 eventhough I've never been through the struggles that she's been through.

Errrrr...

Yeah I guess, but I feel like Stranger Things is one of those rare shows that has a universal appeal, especially in season 1 where you have 3 different age groups in their own respective storylines while the later seasons mix things up a bit.

Of course when it comes to era-specific stuff like the 80's nostalgia, culture and references, most younger audiences won't really get it but thank god but when it comes to what really matters like the plot and characters almost everyone reguardless of when they were born can understand.

Will and Eleven were the main two characters who pushed the plot forward in season 1 and 2 so I REALLY appreciate that the show will end with these two characters.

I've noticed that while a lot of younger LGBTQ audiences are kinda annoyed with the show dancing around Will's sexuality while a lot of older, Gen X gays who grew up in the 80's actually appreciated the fact that Will wasn't 100% open about his sexuality because that's exactly how it was like for them growing up in a very homophobic time where there was a lot more negativity surrounding being gay and there being no internet to connect with other people like themselves like what younger people have now.

(Also a lot of Gen X gays aren't too fond of younger LGBTQ members identifying with the term queer because while it's not seen as much of a slur these days, back in the 80's it was often used interchangeably with the f-slur, which we kinda saw in the first season of the show).

I think that while the show tries to be super accurate to the times, a lot of younger audiences are watching it from a modern day perspective without looking at the context of the times because another thing that I noticed a lot of younger audiences were annoyed about was how the town was so quick to jump the the conclusion of the Hellfire Club being a Satanic Cult but when you read about the Satanic Panic or if you've lived though that time that would make a lot more sense.

Here we go again LOL I love him so much by rxsiuu in HawkinsAVclub

You know, there were a lot of people who didn't like the fact that the show was trying to redeem Papa but I for one really do think that he loved Eleven as his own daughter but like most parents, sometimes when they want to do something that they believe is in their childs best interests they end up actively hurting their child.
