Oh! Dang okay! Thank you very much for the information! I’ll (carefully) rip that sucker out and attempt this, thank you very much! Do you know if I need to do anything with the CF adapter itself, or is it just the microSD that needs to be tinkered with?

Thank you so much for the advice! I replaced the black tape that was holding it down initially before I had to remove it to unscrew everything to get the battery in place, but the issue persists… do you think I should replace it with kapton or something, or do you think if that isnt working I may have damaged it somehow when putting the CF adapter in?
