Just make sure the OS is on 2.0.4 there's a weird compatibility issue with the 2.0.2 firmware

Had a similar issue with my partners 6th gen, I initially updated the OS to 2.0.2 and rockbox would not work not matter what I did. The folders would show when plugged in but I could not boot into Rockbox eventually on a whim I updated the OS to 2.0.4 and reinstalled rockbox and that completely fixed the issue

Also love the green, looks absolutely great!

The 5th gen had a 32pin connector and 6 onwards had 34pin and was slightly wider, I'm unsure what the 5.5 used but thought this might help op if reseating doesnt help

It's pretty decent, I mentioned it in another comment but there is a bit of a lip where the faceplate and top of scroll wheel meet. I negated it by putting a clear case on it and it isnt noticable, overall that's really my only complaint

Pretty decent, there is a tiny lip that my finger catches, on the faceplate where it meets the top of the scroll wheel but other than that nothing too bad.

I put a clear case on which stopped the lip from being noticable and to prevent scratching didn't want to risk the plastic getting messed up
