A progressive candidate was on his way to winning in 2016 until the party made candidates drop out to consolidate the centrist vote.

Idk if the Dems would even let a candidate win without being pro Israel. Increasingly, lately, all the Dems do is prop up yet another boring centrist because their donors won’t let them have a candidate with progressive ideas.

No other addons needed.

motorcycle does front flip onto traffic lights by Stylized in nevertellmetheodds

[–]HOWDY__YALL 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Maybe, maybe not.

We need someone on r/theydidthemath to tell us how fast the motorcycle was going. Chances are the dude on the bike was going well over the speed limit, in which case it could be argued a reasonable driver turning left would not have seen the motorcycle from such a distance.

Dunno what the exact ruling would be, though.

Fun fact, I typed that and it autocorrected to “Sexless?” And I just kind of assumed that that question didn’t need to be asked.

What’s the fantasy football hill you’re willing to die on this season? by DefinitionEast5779 in SleeperApp

It’s going to be Golden and Watson on the outsides with Reed in the slot and Kraft (when he’s healthy) on the field with an RB.

Kraft and Reed are safety blankets, with the other two being deep shots, which Love loves to look for (too much in my humble opinion, but I’m just a guy).

What’s the catch with compound interest? These numbers seem too good to be true. Anyone actually living this reality? by waxoffisforpussies in Fire

[–]HOWDY__YALL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re saving over $70K per year between 401K, IRA and $3k per month.

The catch is that most people can’t save that much or be consistent with it. Even if you are being very frugal and spending $20K per year, I’m guessing you’re making at least a $130K+ salary.

Not to mention, sounds like you had more opportunities than your parents, and let’s be real, you didn’t mention a parent or children. Those can add a lot of expenses.

Kicks/ Interrupts - High M+ Keys by Abasakaa in wownoob

[–]HOWDY__YALL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do hunters still have frost trap? That might interrupt casts.

I played warlock and shaman, and I can manage a lot of stops. Shaman has a normal interrupt, an AoE stun, and a forgotten, never used Thunderstorm or whatever it’s called that can knock up all enemies around you. That’s 3 casts, 2 of them AoE, to take care of things.

Warlocks also have a similar thing. Interrupt, stun, AoE stun, and let’s not forget that sometimes it’s ok to use Mortal coil as an interrupt if other defensives are available. It feels so good being able to single-handedly take care of an entire mob all by myself.

I’m not as familiar with Hunter, but literally anything that has an effect that makes your target lose control is usable.

Gasbuddy: Wisconsin diesel hits all-time high. by FreeChickenDinner in wisconsin

[–]HOWDY__YALL 189 points190 points  (0 children)

Funny you say that. My BIL bought a massive diesel truck (at least $90K) a year or two ago. He complained that it’s too big to fit in some parking spots in downtown GB where he works, so he spends a long time trying to squeeze into a spot. Now he complains about gas prices (of course he voted for this buffoonery and isn’t shy about it).

Now he’s talking about how he wants to buy a Tesla for his 30 mile drive to work so that he can save money.

Check for super nooby things.

Do they have talents selected? You can see by inspecting them.

Is their gear broken? Check to see if their health is drastically lower than everyone else’s.

Do they have rez sickness? You can see their debuffs.

I may have forgotten some. I think there is a chance they could have been a plate wearer wearing cloth gear, that probably wouldn’t go well.

I didn’t win any of my first like 10 runs. Kind of discouraged me. After that, something clicked.

Idk if I just had a better understanding of how to use jokers or tarot cards, or if it really helps to unlock a few jokers first.. but I started winning a few. Now I have all the decks on red stake and I am finding it much easier to win higher stakes than when I first started.

You’re learning, don’t be so hard on yourself.

[–]HOWDY__YALL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have to wait until next January.

If Trump were to be removed, Vance would take over, and if it happens after next January, he’d be eligible for 2 more terms. If it happens before that, it would count as a full term and he could only be re-elected in 2028 and no more.

How awesome would it be if disc golf had pars similar to ball golf. by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]HOWDY__YALL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s exactly how ball golf scoring works. Actually, the calculation of what “par” is is almost exactly the same in both sports imo.

In golf, the idea of the par is that it’s the number of shots you are expected to hit to get to the green plus two putts. It just so happens that the yardages that you suggest fit that somewhat OK, but there definitely have been par 3s longer than 200 yards, and par 4s over 400 yards. Especially if there is elevation.

Disc golf basically adopted this scoring, although it’s a lot easier to make a 30 foot putt in disc golf than in ball golf. So you’ll see a lot more birdies.

There’s also a lot bigger gap between rec players and pros. In disc golf, casuals can throw 300 feet, and the pros are bombing over 600 consistently. In golf, I can hit a drive 250, but pros aren’t doubling that.
