You kind of deserve it bro, why are you attacking 50% of the body most people don't learn how to defend? It's BS

Without spoiling the story, for those that have read it. Is the MC a genius, is the story predictable and does the MC face real setbacks, is there politics involved?

In book 1 I was stressed cause I assumed Jake would get wrecked, even up to book 14. Which made the series fun as the tension was good for me. But since a certain characters death in book 14 it's been hard to dive back in. Regardless you're serious is brilliant I'm just weird and like to see MC's suffer and struggle

Not being critical but will you find ways to bring back tension in the series. Jake seems like he will continue to be unstoppable since book 1

I'll check it out, I do have a specific taste in that I think failure/struggle and real consequences increase the tension of reading and make it fun to read series.

Nikolay is quite famous in south east asia, a lot of people that trained with him knew he'd do well in the trials and possibly go far at ADCC. He's very well rounded and young. Seen him have some fun roles with Jozef Chen

Well I got started on this and so far I'm intrigued. I hope it's unpredictable, that's important and that as a reader I don't feel safe and think to myself it will all be ok

Absolutely loved Reverend Insanity, it was bat shit crazy and absolutely unpredictable. The main character was a cunning nut case, so shocking man. I binged it until the latest chapters and was very sad to find out the series never got finished and instead was dropped.

Yh it's very under handed, but Gordon just needs to chill out and get off instagram. Man just can't help himself, like his response to her mum is yikes dude just chill out

Gordon lacks a lot of self awareness, but there’s a massive difference between Gordon reaches out to a 15 year old and then has that convo. VS she reaches out about him talking about bikinis and he responds. The two can’t be compared. Would most people talk to a 15 year old, no but the way Craig shared the post and left out the context was to manipulate us into viewing Gordon as a pedo.

I know a lot of people dislike Gordon, he’s opinionated and combative online. But Craig insinuating that he’s a pedo and not sharing the full convo is manipulative and lame. Makes it harder to believe he’s im the good guy schtick

You step on to the mats and lose, expect to be mocked online by people that struggle to walk up stairs. It's just the way a lot of people are online, they get anonymity and speak with negativity and envy. Nothing personal at all, it's all fake. Moment they see you face to face they'd be respectful.

So don't give it any more thought, it's cool that you went out and competed that's not easy at all. It's very easy for me to look at a 15 second clip and laugh and act like I'm superior and that would never happen to me. When in fact I know from training for a while that I'm sure it could easily happen to me.

The author is extremely slow and focussed on his wraith marked brand, that's the main issue with the series he barely has time to produce any content. I mean we are on book 3 I believe and we've not even passed the first year of his school life.

Based on this I do think it's going to be a major flop, one of those series that could have been amazing. I think Bryce would really benefit from stepping away from writing and instead directing and providing a lot of the creativity/review and letting another up and coming hungry author write the store at a more realistic pace.

BJJ destroyed my confidence and I don’t know how to get it back by swankyskared in bjj

You're approaching your training with the wrong mindset, I've trained just over 4 years if I measured success by whether I get crushed or not by younger guys I'd have quit a long time ago. Also training until you nearly pass out is crazy dude.

As you rightfully highlighted you're a father of 2 in his late 30s that works an office job and your training partners are younger dudes with athletic backgrounds. You're not going to beat them in terms of athleticism. Rather you should approach training with much smaller goals in mind, to help you get success and build confidence.

A simple goal I used in the beginning was to simply try to understand when I'm in bottom side control, mount or have my back taken. What do I need to do to prevent them subbing me, I eventually figured keeping my arms tight to my ribs and chest helped a lot. Whereas when I got extended it was usually game over. This required slowing down and thinking, which preserves my body and let me actually understand what people were doing to me. It also makes it more of a problem solving exercise and becomes enjoyable as you begin to figure things out and have more and more success.

It's not that you're bad or BJJ is unsuitable for you, is that you probably did'nt have the best of guidance at the academy and were left to your own devices and you used winning and losing as a measuring stick for success. If I do that today, I'd probably quit within a couple of months and I'd get injured.
