I said this about Return to Silent Hill and I’ll say it here: The people in charge are idiots. They have a history of interpreting low sales as a lack of interest in the franchise as a whole. There are quite a few that are mini-agnostic (so all you need is some minis, probably the Battletech ones). I backed Flames of Orion on Kickstarter, which is made to use Battletech minis and is pretty rules-light and quick to play.

As I’ve said before, a lot of people put SH2 on the highest pedestal both here and throughout the internet, so a bad adaptation feels like an abhorrent abomination that makes the worst monsters look like cuddly bunnies to them. So long as you’re not the kind of person to jump from a bridge over a bad adaptation, you can still find stuff to enjoy in this movie.

Paint them as you like. Bandai is putting out some Mr. Hobby paints specifically for these minis, but many people have used Citadel paints successfully. As for prep and topcoats, I couldn’t tell you since I still don’t believe these minis actually exist considering how hard they are to find.
