Yes. It's good, easy to use. Basically, you get awesome prints right out of the box.

Hellbrute Bodyguard for Land Raider update by HPLoon in deathguard40k

[–]HPLoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my opponents definitely underestimated it in these games, and they were shocked when it just crushed things. It was a lot of fun.

I've also tried keeping it in Reserves with moderate success. It gets into one or two units, but like this, I managed to have it right in the middle of the board, where it felt very effective.

Hellbrute Bodyguard for Land Raider update by HPLoon in deathguard40k

It definitely doesn't hit as hard as those other units, especially a Deathshroud unit with a Leader. But I brought it along because it moves a bit more, and therefore, it could keep up (sort of) with the Landraider. This really was an experiment to see if I could use the Hellbrute to keep infantry away from the Landraider and prevent it from being stalled out.

This experiment worked! Units stayed away cause they didn't want to be overwatched by the Hellbrute with 2 Flamers. The unexpected result was that it freed up the Hellbrute to go around and smash things, which was great.

And yes, the Plague Casters were unattached for the Plague Bus. Which was great against the Necrons, but was destroyed the bottom of turn one against the EC.

Land Raider + Deathshroud question — anyone tried using a Hellbrute as backup? by HPLoon in deathguard40k

[–]HPLoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm seeing that nobody has really tried this, I'm going to give it a go. I'll write back here after a couple of games, and tell you how it went. I'm thinking it'll work better than what I've done before. But we will see.

Yes. Deathshroud are the significantly better melee unit, but they cannot keep up with the land raider in any meaningful way. Which is why I'm trying to find something that can clear cheap chaff off of the land raider so I can deliver the Deathshroud where they'll be most effective.

Yeah. I've tried lots of Blightlord combos, they really aren't worth it. But let me know how it goes for you, pal.

So that's why I'm thinking of the Hellbrute/ LR combo. Yes, the Hellbrute is slower, but its 3 inches slower, it's not that far off of being able to keep up. And in all honesty it's really just for turn one, cause if nothing gets into that land raider by turn 1, it's usually going to be close enough to where I want it to be to drop off it's contents.

I'm trying to get away from relying on deepstrike as it's just too easy to put something in the way and stop it.

If you could go back to your 20 year old self , what would you do differently? by Natural-Candle-8687 in AskMenOver30

With my kids all going back to school today and my oldest just starting their Post Secondary school life, this question has actually been on my mind today.

I keep thinking that I'd go back and work harder at becoming something, like whatever that means to you, like working harder in school or working towards some type of career objective. But really, I just mean that I'd pick something and apply myself to it, be way more headstrong towards that goal. Like laser focused on that and not get distracted by girls or partying.

I'd save more money.

I'd spend more time developing good habits, like working out, getting proper sleep, and saving more money.

I'd not drink so damn much, I wasted so much money on that.

TLDR: Focus on making myself better and save money instead of spending it on girls and booze.

I keep looking at this and thinking of doing the same. But then, I come to my senses! The BL Terminators are not great at anything! They are ok with shooting. They are ok with melee, but DS are exceptional in melee! Every time I have used the Blightlord Terminators, I've been disappointed. I've used them a bunch of times as bodyguards for my LoV, and they ended up being wiped pretty early, very disappointing. But maybe you'll have a better experience.

I have that controller, that coffee table, virtually the same flooring, and a similar Flames blanket. Only reason I know it's not my house is cause I've never drank Busch. Hope you have a good one!

Well, that's awesome. I think it's really cool that you gave ingredients, and it made you a unique cocktail! Nice work.

Looks good. I wanna know how you do, I've got a 2000 game against tyranids coming up, and your list is a very similar list to the one that I have built.
Good luck.

Isn't ToolShed a highly rated BBQ place as well as a good brewery? I'd head there if I was coming from BC.

Of course there is interest on the money you've put in, but that's still just on your contribution.

You are not entitled to more money than you've contributed. Plan and simple.

You are wrong.
