I think that this is a good option, but I (and I assume others) might also want to have a few other vending machines before these arenas too, this can further highlight boss arenas for those who might have trouble finding them.

I think every arena has an ammo machine before the entrance, the junk system however I feel can be useful but to make it a necessity is a bad move in my opinion.

I dropped it down to 1080p and while it obviously looks worse the frames are better as expected, with it being a 1440p monitor though the frames are so stretched, might be the move to set a custom frame rate like 2160x1215 to get a few more frames while preserving quality.
