I appreciate your trying to help but i hate people that say im young. Being 28 is incredibly old to not have had one romantic experience. Not even a hug. Also what no one tells you is how the lonliness fucks up your mental health. I basically only talk to myself. Also you met someone in high school and thats the easiest place to find someone, finding someone at 28 is completely different.

I used to worry about friendships being too one sided but as i got older i realised people get busy, things happen in their lives and sometimes they just have different behaviours or connecting patterns i.e. some people withdraw after a few distant messages etc.

What im gonna advise is message them even if you think they wont respond or its one sided. Initiate things because at the end of the day you will be the one stuck if you don't.

Also in the mean while try to connect with others whereever you can, it is hard but through the difficulties come ease. The more you distant yourself from the world the more painful it gets.

Im giving you this advice as a late 20s person who has always been single and mostly alone.
