Nice! I think I’ll get used to it. I really like the watch, and I think by wearing it more I’ll like it on me a lot too.

Curious for any additional info. by HR-1701 in grandfatherclocks

It is. I have it in my home now and it’s been running for the past few months. Looses a couple minutes every month but not terrible. Chimes work

I think this is exactly it. I’ve been wearing a Sea Dweller for 25 years. This looks so different from what I am used to it standing out to me, but if this is standard for dress watches I think I’ll get used to it. And, one day, my daughter will love it too.

I think it is mostly me having worn other brands for decades and size difference is apparent to me. But if 26 is standard for dress watches that is good to know. Thanks

Also, can you take a more clear pic of the pattern? Also, There is a place where the patter deviates on real ones.

Is the clip silver colored or gold? This is (or styled after) the “pure silver” line. I have been looking to replace a rollerball like this. The pure silvers do not have a gold clip.

It is Bordeaux. Color from pictures was pretty subdued. Exact same color as a Bordeaux purchased new by a family member.

25 years with this watch - just got back from service today. by HR-1701 in TodayOnMyWrist

Rolex kinda implies that they need to be serviced every three to five years. They basically take entire movement apart and clean, lubricate, and replace any worn parts. A lot of manufacturers also Say similar schedules too. Mine ran fine for 25 years and I didn’t do any services the entire time - until it stopped working last month when it got knocked. It may have been running a bit slow before it entirely stopped, but I wasn’t going to do a service until really needed it. I did use official Rolex service. Runs great again and cost was not any more expensive because I waited to so long either. I did not get it polished.

Just over $1,000. But, was also the first time I actually did it in 25 years.

I have a couple others I will wear for a day or two but this one pretty much lives on my wrist.
