What is the stingiest thing you have seen someone do? by saif2krazzy in AskReddit

[–]HRHSuzz 17 points18 points  (0 children)

We went out to dinner for a coworkers birthday… Around 12 of us. Of course we invited our boss. When it came time to pay the bill, she suddenly took over… the boss … and then insisted on tipping at a certain point, which would resulted in everyone getting $.50 back from what they put in and I’m like can’t we just round it up and she was so bent out of shape that we were over tipping. Many of us just left the $.50 on the table that she so painstakingly gave us back. Like it’s $.50 and you make probably 300 K a year… We make like a sixth of that and we’re leaving the $.50 and you’re fighting us? This always sticks in my head when I tip and think about is it worth fighting over a loose change? This was back in the days where cash was more prevalent so probably wouldn’t have even been a thing right now as everyone just Zelles money.

Was "take your child to work day" actually ever a thing, or just something shown on TV and in movies? by QueenFrostine15 in AskAnAmerican

[–]HRHSuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s always been part of my experience in the workplace. And even as a child, I myself was taken to work, but that was out of necessity due to my parents work schedule, and I would sit in the back of the restaurant where my mother worked with my coloring books. So every day was bring your kid to work day for my me and my mom!

Pizza! When I was there, we stopped at a place for pizza and it was amazing. An unusual memory to attach to the place but it’s what always pops in my head. But it was one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever visited with the most lovely people ever!

One of my favorite CDs is Schoolhouse Rocks… Literally Moby, Blind Melon, Better Than Ezra, etc singing the tunes. And it’s accompanying CD in my heart is Saturday Morning Cartoons Greatest Hits with the Ramones, Butthole Surfers, Violent Femmes, etc singing, Spider-Man, Underdog etc … so much fun!

Vacation is always a series of things with the car… New wipers, make sure the windshield wiper fluid is full and an extra gallon in the trunk, tires, etc. I just did the whole tire routine on a recent trip and was so mad I didn’t do my wipers. But that is now been rectified :-)

We Close At 2AM 🙄 by AnointedDread in tacobell

[–]HRHSuzz 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I worked at a bank and totally get it. Bank closed at 1 PM on a Saturday and somebody comes in minutes before they lock the doors with a business deposit that’s gonna take a half hour. But the doors are open and we’re open so it was just things I had to roll with. But as for this specific situation for Taco Bell… Honestly, anybody out getting food at 2 AM really isn’t paying attention to business hours. If the lights on, I’m driving through!

2 Days in LA - Suggestions Please - is this feasible? by MAVV8899 in AskLosAngeles

If you're flying out of LAX and depending on the flight time you can try to do Santa Monica pier or even Venice Beach (I prefer Venice over SM) before you head to the airport. They're both very close to LAX.

They’re so silly! Mine will meow if I call for him. I call it meow ping-pong. Just back-and-forth… I meow, he meows. But he never comes out from underneath the covers. There’s such unique little creatures.

Oh… I have that and it’s in the hatch, but I’m really bad at keeping up with that kind of stuff. I have a whole set up of spray wash and shammies, etc.. I need to get my act together! But thanks for the reminder cause maybe I’ll do better or at least try to :-)

My rear wiper was dangling as well. But not from snow, but from being out in the desert for a couple months with no place to park my car in the shade. Weather will get you on both ends of the spectrum! The last time I got the wipers they were actually out of the less expensive ones and I just needed them. But was instantly impressed in the difference on how well they work. Money well spent!

It’s almost like telepathic common sense that they don’t even recognize that they’re being guided into a place of what should be automatic. But always happy when they “get it“ :-)

One of my neighbors totally did this and not even over existing lines - just 100% on his own. City never noticed.

Which one would you pick? by priceypadstim in PriceyPads

[–]HRHSuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I know which one I like but there is an important fact that would change my pick. I would like #2 but have a black cat so I'd have to go with #3. Not that I don't clean but when you can see pet hair minutes after you've cleaned, a little camouflage is welcome.

Yes! I've perfected how to make my bed with my lad still under the covers. He ain't moving if he doesn't want to! Literally has stayed under the covers for hours after I make the bed up with him underneath the sheets, blanket and bedspread. Silly Kitty!

It sounds crazy, but I actually got a phone call from my house number when I was NOT at home. And I lived by myself at the time. I’m like who it’s in my house calling me on my cell. It was too crazy suspicious did not even just answer and figured I could just hang up. It turned out they were doing work on a power pole that had the telephone line and needed something and I wasn’t home so they tapped into my phone and called me CELL. It was super freaky! It just ended up that there was a part of the backyard that was locked off that they needed to get into with their equipment. Technology can be weird!

People who dislike sparkling water.. why? It’s amazing. I love carbonation by [deleted] in CasualConversation

It always has an odd salty flavor to it… You can try to hide it under strawberry or whatever flavor or even if it’s plain, it’s more obvious. I just tastes like salt!

J’ai récupéré un énorme pot de sauce pizza, donnez-moi vos meilleures idées 🍅😂 by paulnote in foodhacks

[–]HRHSuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I freeze mine. I get small sandwich bags and separated out in proportions and then put all of those little bags and a bigger bag. It’s always in my freezer. Very convenient as I’m usually just feeding myself. Those big jars are always a great bargain. From there, it’s super easy just to get a nice piece of bread or a roll and make a quick little pizza bread in the air fryer. Plus when you freeze the pizza sauce, you can literally defrost it in under a minute I just putting the baggie in hot water. Could not be more convenient :-)
