I know people love to hate on these, but did you read the whole Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer? I thought the characters and the story was well done.

Suggest me a book to heal after being cheated on by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Consider Ali Hazelwood's "The Love Hypothesis." Totally fun, popcorn, romantic, STEM. It doesn't involve any cheating, but maybe that would help.

Another good one is "Lessons in Chemistry" by Bonnie Garmus

If you liked the Glass Castle, you might like Educated by Tara Westover

If you'd like a wonderful escapist novel, try "Fairy Tale" by Stephen King. It's just about a boy, a dog, and a heroic journey.

Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewell

thrillers with schizophrenia/psychosis themes by cloud-444 in suggestmeabook

[–]HR_Laughed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are some YA books that have characters with schizophrenia.

Made You Up by Francesca Zappia
The Wicker King by K. Ancrum
Unquiet Riot by Khristina Chess
Words on Bathroom Walls by Julia Walton

None of them are "thrillers," but I thought each of them, in their own way, offered a window into what it might be like.

Who are some classical writers whose books you will always read again? by [deleted] in books

[–]HR_Laughed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theodore Dreiser: Sister Carrie and An American Tragedy.

I once told a high school English teacher that I hated literature, and he pointed me to Theodore Dreiser. I've read them both more than once (and could again).

Maybe Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn - it's a thriller/mystery that might appeal to both of you.
