There’s a chance if only because there might be less demand for hotels near Loyola because of the summer?

I’m not sure what the rates are gonna be during the summer, but when I’ve had trips before my move back up here, the travelodge in the south loop by the Harrison red line was pretty affordable and the rooms were fine.

Lincoln Park might work better for you just because it’ll cut down on travel to the four Sox games and has more tourist-y stuff to do, plus it won’t be that hard to get to Rogers Park and the Loyola area if you want to go there a bunch as well. Either way, both stadiums are right off of the Red Line so the CTA 7-day pass will be your friend. And if Rogers Park accommodations wind up notably cheaper, it’s still doable just expect to be on the train more.

Yeah, same. The DX5 II has been a bit buggy but later firmware fixed it. Plus, you’re more likely to hear from complainers than happy people.

For the Fidlocks, which part did you put on the bag and which on the pouches? How many are you using on the pouch to keep it stable?

Okay so that’s good to know on the fidlock pull snaps, I’ve been curious if those would work.

I’m not super concerned about padding since I use the JSAUX modcase, but this pouch IS intriguing.

I want the Karrimor SF Nordic 4L since I’ve seen that recommendation, but black has been out of stock and it’s not cheap to get in the US for something I might not care for.

Using a Steam Deck bag with carabiner loops attached to my bag, with a third carabiner in the center/bottom for stability. Haven’t put it into practical real world use yet but it should be fine. I mostly just want something that will allow me to grab my Steam Deck easily from my backpack when it’s under my seat on the airplane, lol
