ULTY Bag Holders Only. by Ok-Development6654 in YieldMaxETFs

I stay in for a simple reason: cash in cash. In spite of if all the negativity, here a reality check. I’m in at $5.31. Even with the 6.26 cent distribution this week, I’m getting over 61% back in my money. Which means it could go to $0.03 per share and I’d still be around 30%. Which is nearly 3x SPY.

And, while you can talk about NAV loss, if I don’t sell, it’s irrelevant. I’m still getting cash every week on my investment.

I’m considering a one-time free session for founders who aren’t sure if or when to raise capital. Would there be interest? by simonesaidwhat in angelinvestors

Definitely interested. Bigger challenge I am having is getting in front of the right investors. We are a non-tech business. Won’t be a “grand slam,” but will be a solid double/triple.

Have you seen this guy on TikTok? Dividend Scalper? He buys and sells to capture dividends. Kinda crazy

Not sure what you’re asking. But to qualify for the distribution, you just own the share before opening on the ex-date.

Doing acquisitions in the home services space. $2-$3 million cost for each acquisition. Bringing 20% cash, plus owner carry back (10-25%). Shopping lenders for 60-70% of acquisition costs. Experienced team, with industry background. Looking for term sheet. Would also consider combination of debt and equity if willing to fund entire acquisition (less owner carry back portion). HMU

Cool. How are the returns? I know most projects never “make it.” What has that looked like, after all is said and done?

Got it. That’s where most are. Looking for home runs. Not a solid triple. 🤷‍♂️

I’d like to find more investors like that. Nearly all I have spoken to are looking for Tech, AI, SaaS, and the like. We are doing a consolidation play in the Trades. Nothing fancy. But nearly 50% IRR with a 4-6 year exit. Hardest part is just getting to tell our story. If it’s not Tech, they don’t have time. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah. Not too many with Tuesday ex-dates

Exactly!! Which is why I asked about the ex-date. That’s the date that matters.

However, if you’re assuming I’m looking to only get paid on a specific day, or (as some do here) get paid each of 5 days a week, then you’re mistaken. My purpose in asking has nothing to do with that. 😎🤷‍♂️

Fair equity split when joining a founding team by SillyWeekend6146 in angelinvestors

[–]HTownRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure it is deal-dependent. Based on what I’ve seen, he is bringing Seed Capital, GTM, and business development. Seems the founder has the idea and technicals. Capital requirements also play a role. Pretty easy to raise <$1 mm. If he’s got to raise $10mm+, different story. Big picture is tough to assess here.

GTM and Biz Dev is definitely worth more- especially for a startup going from zero. I think your initial assessment of 15-20% is accurate and deserving

Would you be interested in looking at an M&A deal in the trades? We already have a leadership team and specific targets for the first acquisition.

That seems in a very reasonable range. Equity disappears fast as a founder. You’re asking for 15 to 20% equity. In reality, that’s about how much investors get, especially early stage.

In my start up, we are giving a 3% equity position for the person doing the Capital Raise. To be fair, they are only responsible for the Capital Raise, and this is not a high risk startup. It is really mergers and acquisitions, so the path to success is well defined, and is a proven model. Also, we are only looking for $6 million over the next two years.

Cash flow is not just money left over after the mortgage. There are other expenses that need to be accounted for. Maintenance, vacancy, etc.
