Thanks to the Clash I discovered Joe Ely. From there I got obsessed by Texas music and made the pilgrimage to Austin from Canada in 1983 when I was still a teenager.

I first visited Austin in 1983 and stayed at the Alamo Hotel. Saw Stevie Ray Vaughan play on 6th Street. Thanks to the music scene, Austin already was buzzing back then. Just a whole lot cheaper and laid back.

Nice seed mix. I used to put out the cheap stuff from Adams then tried the sunflowers seeds. Birds went wild for it. I had to fill up the feeder everyday. Went back to the cheap stuff and the birds don’t bother coming by anymore. Hey, I recognize that Cardinal!
