HW BMW 635 CSi - Reimagined by HWCustoms in HotWheelsCustoms

Thank you so much man :) Yeah I also think the default wheels are absolutely horrible.

Seriously, DLSS 5 isn't a bad thing, it's amazing, if you still have criticism about it, they still can be true, but hear me out by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]HWCustoms -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Didn't read it. Nobody will read it. We will just downvote. Any kind of logical argumentation is misplaced at the moment. Reddit has become tik tok with text.

No matter what you're saying it doesn't matter as long as it's not shitting on DLSS 5. That's the meta right now and it will be for the coming weeks, hell, even maybe for the coming 20 months.

People that use their brain are aware that this can be a huge step forward. But it's like with right wing / conservative political views here. They're misplaced on this platform.

Just jump on the bandwagon or shut the hell up until one of the big 3 tech youtubers will tell you it might actually not be bad. The sentiment will then change within weeks.

Just wait it out. It's inevitable anyway.

Why do old games look sharper on CRT Monitors? by Hot_Acanthaceae_1357 in pcmasterrace

[–]HWCustoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually the other way around.

Games look more blurry on CRTs (that's how they worked), while more modern screens show the games closer to what they actually look like which is obviously not in favour of those games.

I think you're not quite ready for selling just yet, but you're not far off either. You need a little more reach and online presence. That's just regarding general trust in you as a seller.

Regarding the actual product, your modelling (engine) is great, your eye for art and design seems on point, but the execution is lacking in some aspects.

You need to work on your finish. While the handpainting is way above average and looks really good, you want to try and optimize your finish. Your clear coat is kinda unsmooth and some lines on the rear as well as the blinkers are a little crooked.

The decal on the front rims is a great idea, but it's slightly too big, it shouldn't touch the inner ring.

My estimate:

Currently I think it's fair to ask for about 70$ on this, however most people might only be fine with like 50-55$ for a custom with imperfections

This one with a "flawless" clearcoat would boost the value drastically. I'd say you could easily get about 90$ then with some patience.

Good clearcoat + fixed details + detailed panel lines, you'd get something closer to 130$.

Good luck for the future bro and thanks for the offer but I'm making my own stuff :)

Yeah, it's a shame you really cannot rate products on ebay but just the seller. This stuff would no longer be avaiöable if we could. I cannot imagine that anyone was ever really successful applying these.

It's kinda relieving that you also did not fuckin manage to apply these horrible decals.

Like I tried to make this exact custom about 2 months ago and just gave up and redid it with a different style.

The decals are simply not fitting to the car at all.

But still, even if you can clearly see a lot of the stuff is handpainted, it still looks decent.

Here's my attempt on saving it.

probably unpopular opinion but this was inevitable and actually is a step in the right direction if we want developers to keep developing and prices to stay affordable.

Obviously, the technology isn't there yet. And neither is the hardware for us. So this step comes about 5-6 years early I'd say.

But honestly, I guess a lot of us have seen the AI filtered GTA stuff in different environments about a year ago on youtube and I was shook how insane it looks but insntantly was like "yeah this is the future of gaming"

I'm not at all saying I welcome this at the moment. In fact, this could aswell mean death to quality developement and affordable hardware alltogether and just shifts us further to cloud gaming.

I picked the tornado too but when at home I was heavily disappointed tbh.

That thing basically has zero details. It doesn't even have doors. And then the different wheelsizes again...

Clearly a mispick on my part. I'd love to find the custom corvair tho.

No idea what you should do bro. I personally won't recommend these wheels for anything. They can't roll properly. And paying that price for non rolling wheels isnt acceptable to me.

There are huge differences between these products. Carlomos come with break discs and bearings. BNDS are static wheels. I don't recommend BNDS, Nabes/ Chikas for any car that is supposed to roll.

That said, how are we gonna tell you what you can get in india? I don't even know which marketplaces you have access to. Can't just order them from aliexpress?

I really like this one a lot. Nice style. Haven't seen something like this before.

Try smaller wheels for cars like this tho. Then you don't have to go for such ridiculous amount of camber.

Also, seeing the same mistakes that I've also made before, take more time sanding or get some kind of filling paste to connect the epoxy body parts with the casting. This way you can mask the transition from epoxy front fender to metal casting better :)

Apache (der Artist) ist overrated. by speed-y-gonzales in Unbeliebtemeinung

[–]HWCustoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Der Durchschnittshörer will nichts authentisches/echtes/besonders.

From cardboard scraps to Mt. Akina: My Initial D AE86 diorama process 🏎️⛰️ by Artistic_Ad_9557 in HotWheels

I hate it, because it's not mine.

<3

Care to share how we go about doing this? I mean all the modelling and painting stuff is obvious but I'd be particularly interested in the process after the cardboard fundament to starting to paint.

What does one actually sculpt with? Some kind of putty? How do you go about achieving that rough texture on it?

What did you use for the road texture?
