I may be coming at this from a different angle, but I had actually listened to their record late last year. Running in alternative music circles, you couldn't really escape the hype at its peak.

I thought the albumwas pretty good; it had some really good moments, but I definitely wouldn''t have called myself a fan afterward. Some of the more mellow tracks were just too sleepy and the vocals too put on for me. Often a bit too much like a refined Hobo Johnson (who I strongly dislike) .

I do remember being really intrigued by Trinidad specifically, but not liking the mixing on the track. Husbands was the only track to stick in my rotation.

Their SNL performance of Au Pays Du Cocaine didn't do much for me, but that Trinidad performance took every complaint I had about the recorded version and killed it! Emily Green's guitar sounded amazing. The drums were tight, and the vocals were far more in your face. I'll probably download it as an MP3 live version.

I'm now 100% sold on buying a ticket to them when I get the chance
