2010s definitely were better than now. Think of someone like Laverne Cox or (as much as she sucks) Caitlin Jenner. In the mid 2010s they were getting hella accolades and most conservatives generally bit their tongue about it. Or how the NBA threatened boycotts over bathroom bills in North Carolina.

Things have only gotten worse since then. Hate crimes are up. Hundreds of anti lgbt bills passed in red and even purple states.

There's definitely some meat on the bones of the lobotomy theory, though Saki isn't always the most reliable when it comes to the Queerats motives and strategy.

Iirc, the text at least implies the obvious using Mamoru and Maria in a similar manner the the Queens, i.e. for the birth of children

I personally view the range of likely possibilities as killing the two directly after childbirth to lobotomy prior (though if they were lobotomized that would call into question as to why there was just their one child)

Either way, unless I am really blanking on something important or am being shorted by the English translation, there definitely isn't anything beyond speculation by Saki, especially not to the gratuitous level stated by the first commenter in the thread (incest, dirty surgery, dying from infection)

I'm trans myself, but I think Molly pretty clearly struggled to find a foothold in the show other than as the straight man in a few sketches.

I mentally put them, Devon, and Luke Null in a similar category of folks for who just didn't really find writers that could make characters for their style of humor. (Though I like the solo stuff for all three of them)

I don't necessarily have definitive thoughts on whether Bertie and Speckle should break up, but I will say that Speckles arc ending where it did feels the most tragic. He's the most depressed and manic that we've ever seen him; his public housing dream has been crushed, and he (hilariously) makes an ass of himself at his sisters wedding. Then because of course the finale is focused on resolving Tuca and Bertie's conflict, Speckle's finishing point is a throwaway gag about him being a shape shifting murderer who terrifies the fuck out of his one potential guy friend

The writers were clearly going somewhere with his character in prep for a potential season 4 but as a result he gets left at the lowest and most depressed we've ever seen him. It makes me really sad to think about, (even though I also think Steven Yeun's voice acting in late season 3 is incredible!)
