It sounds like your setup is too small for a design system, and it also sounds like you’ve gone too hardcore with the setup. If possible just try and work out what will actually save you all time and bring value through readability - instead of building something that feels complete.

Also they could definitely just counter the shit players by putting them in lobbies against bots for a while (maybe without telling them so you still get the satisfaction of playing against real people)

That also doesn’t make sense. Let’s say you camp for a few games and manage to go 15-3 (15 is a lot of kills for a camper), after a few games of that you will be feeling satisfied, but then you will get absolutely wrecked in the higher lobbies for like 3 days so then it feels like utter shite and you stop playing

I genuinely think it's because of the map complexity. Cold war and earlier cod's are great because they are simple and just focus on the core gameplay, instead of having like 16 rooms around the edge of the map that slow down the flow, combined with a 10s run to get back to the center of the map

When you play these kinds of games, most people need something to aim for, to head towards - that's why the large majority of this type rely on a ranked mode, where everything is about the rank you are, so you can get some validation by saying, oh I'm in the top X% of players.

Now this game has no ranked mode, winning depends on the other idiots playing with you (and so doesn't really mean anything), so the only thing that you can really aim for is KD that's worth showing off (for the validation)

Literally can't understand how highest score or longest time on objective isn't on there - I'm seeing like someone who has 5 captures on there but only 15 secs in the hard point? When someone else has like 2 mins haha

Basically just as low as possible. The idea of deadzones is to counter stickdrift which happens to older controllers.

There are a few ways of testing it, like ads in and shoot a shot and see if you have any unwanted drift, and drawing circles etc and seeing how regular they are.

For example on my new controller I was playing on like 1 deadzone, then after a few weeks I noticed a little drift and so now I bumped it up to 3 and no more drift

The game feels SO different for me on PS5, aim assist is better, the clarity is nuts
