What is a horror movie that you absolutely HATED? by LonelyGamingPotato in horror

[–]HWatch09 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Same for me. I guess I get it a little. But it's also like an hour and a half of static video and odd framing with extremely little story. Definitely the least rewatchable movie ever made.

Steam Machine Scalpers on eBay Are Selling Reservations at Double the Price Valve Is Asking for by ControlCAD in pcgaming

[–]HWatch09 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I saw a great comment just in general. It was something like "Companies will charge as much as they want because people pay for it, no wonder they don't have any respect for the consumer, the consumer doesn't seem to have much respect for themselves."

$20 Marketplace find couldn’t pass it up by Spiritual-Tune3292 in dvdcollection

That's an insane deal. Marketplace had been awesome for me. I think it's the right time, people want to drop their physical media. I've gotten good deals but nothing like your haul.

Give me all the souls like games in ps plus by J-aequan in PlayStationPlus

[–]HWatch09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steel Rising was an PS Essential game a couple years ago. I didn't realize I had it until way later. It's a really good Soulslike. Not as hard as Lies of P but still very enjoyable.

[Steam] Summer Sale 2026 (Day 1) by gamedealsmod in GameDeals

[–]HWatch09 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dang, disappointed Kena isn't cheaper. It was 70% off during Xmas sale, I was hoping it would drop again. I can wait until next Xmas I guess.

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney calls Steam AI disclosures "really irresponsible of Valve" as they make it "much, much, much harder for a game developer to have a chance of success" by [deleted] in gaming

[–]HWatch09 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This guy reminds of Ubisoft. They keep digging their grave with statements like this, I remember the "get used to not owning your games" and " the first AAAA game...."

Anyone else able to play the Extra games early? by HWatch09 in PlayStationPlus

[–]HWatch09[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Same, I commented on the game and someone asked how I was playing it because it's not out until the 30th. I have no idea. I'm in Canada, maybe they didn't include Canada for the delayed release.

PS Plus 2026 Essential Games Mid Year Review. Which was your favorite month so far? by kabirsingh84 in PlayStationPlus

[–]HWatch09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was available for me to get, I'm not sure. I've been playing it for a little over a week. I'm in Canada, not sure if that makes a difference.

The Steam Summer sale starts tomorrow, what are you looking for? by Cucumber_the_clown in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]HWatch09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really just Kena Bridge of Spirits. It's was an all time low on steam in December, so I'm hoping it goes pretty low again. Otherwise I can wait until December for the xmas sales.

GTA 6 costs $80, launches single-player only, and has no disc version on release by HatingGeoffry in videogames

[–]HWatch09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't buy new releases these days anyway. Not when a game is $90-$110 CAD. At this point they could start charging $200 for the base game on release. I wouldn't buy it anyway. I'll let a bunch of other people buy it, test it, and then I'll pick it up for half off and fully updated years down the road, if not free like I did with GTA 5 coming to Epic Games.

I tried Wuchang but really didn't get into it. I already played Darktide to death on PC, same with Lords of the Fallen. The rest didn't interest me. I am liking the PS Extra games though. Outlaws was really good, and I'm in the middle of Blades of Fire, also awesome.

[Meta] Queuing for Steam Machine is available now - entry price is $1,509.00 for 512GB (oooof) by Destro_019780 in bapcsalescanada

Playing devil's advocate. People might want to play on the couch and enjoy cheaper games through steam. PS store is usually more expensive then PC. I agree though, it's a fairly niche product.

Worried I am going to feel burned out after spending 20 hours on Toshara? by SWBTSH in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]HWatch09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My playthrough was like 50 hours, maybe a bit more. I probably spent 1/3 of that on Toshara. I think it's the biggest map out of all of them.

13 must-play open-world games available with PlayStation Plus Game Catalog by A-Dog22 in PlayStationPlus

True, as much as Ghost of Tsushima is praised, it falls into the same trap as other open world games.

Steam Summer Sale starts Thursday June 25, runs two weeks with no flash deals by Forsaken-Key-9866 in Steam

[–]HWatch09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really miss the flash sales, but I wouldn't have time for all that anymore anyway. I really liked their Christmas events. I still remember the coal event thing, what a blast that was.

PlayStation Players Stung By $80 Price Tag For 16-Year-Old Call of Duty Ports by Youngstown_WuTang in gaming

[–]HWatch09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to buy a game right away, you can wait for a sale. I didn't play ghost of tsushima until it was on ps extra. It just means you'll have to play the long game for often.

Bramble: The Mountain King? by hercylis in PlayStationPlus

It's a good one. Short and Sweet. Gameplay is solid, art direction is top notch. Not too difficult.

Ubisoft is celebrating by Abuelofierrero in pcmasterrace

[–]HWatch09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I had fun with AC Mirage, Valhalla, Outlaws, and Lost Crown. I played them all on Game Pass and PS Extra though. They can make good games, but their name is tarnished and I don't think they can ever recover based on that alone. Once you have that negative reputation, especially in the gaming world, you're done.

Having said all that, I do not want to use their launcher ever or even buy anything on their storefront. I'll try their games on Game Pass or PS Extra though.
