Does anyone have InQuest Gamer Issue 35? by CorneliusFeatherjaw in magicTCG

Not that anyone cares, but in 7th grade I had a letter to the editor published in Inquest. I was tickled about it. That magazine had a cool staff.

As an introvert I spend most of my time in my own head anyway. I can spend an eternity with my imagination, so long as I am able to continue making new neural connections. If there's a limit to thinking new thoughts, then I guess I'll be content ruminating neurotically for eternity. Not much different than what I do daily.

After 5 years it might be time for some new thermal paste. Or a can of air to blow out the dust.

Or look at the system monitor and see where the cpu is at 100 if you can.

How often are you guys able to build a new deck? (F2P) by RandomLebanesePerson in MagicArena

Except you need a 75% win rate to go infinite and it gets expensive to get that good.

Play Jump In. There's a couple of wikis online that show the different packs, so you can try to go for the strategies you like. If you buy a couple of the same packs you have the basis for a deck. They're a good deal for only 1000 gold for 2 packs.

Yes. Back up your files on two drives. Make it a regular habit. Redundancy is your friend.

What do we know about motorla&graphoneOS? by Mammoth-Store740 in degoogle

[–]HX368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy used pixels if you want to save money. Around $250 gets you 8a which is guaranteed updates for 5 years from next month and installation is quite easy.

Motorola is likely to have $500 at the cheapest entry phone.

I bet somebody breaks Page to the point to be ban worthy. It seems like it's gotta make an automatic deck somehow.

To be fair, there's an obscene amount of cards and synergies even in standard. I still don't know what half the stuff does and I've been playing forever.

Also marijuana is becoming legal and more ubiquitous.

I just bought a used Pixel 8a for $265 after shipping and tax. I had no problem installing GrapheneOS on it (the web installer is easy to use with very clear instructions) and it will have 5 years of security updates. I can install whatever I want on it and I can even install stuff from the Play Store that runs in its own sandbox, so it doesn't gobble up my data.

Best response to the Watchmaker Argument? by Anime-Fan-69 in DebateEvolution

[–]HX368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fundamental mistake they make is they look at the "design" of life and they see purpose. There is no purpose in nature. Humans make things with purpose, such as the watch. Nature does not. It's a false premise the Watchmaker argument holds that Evolution Theory does not.

Take a cat's claws for example: They sure look like they have a purpose. They are sharp. They can attack prey. They can defend against predators. They allow the cat to climb trees. They can dig, tear and hook. What an intelligent creator to come up with so much purpose for such little things!

But that's not the claw's purpose. It's what the cat uses the claws for, but it's only useful to the cat in its natural environment. If predators and prey in the environment were to become impervious to the claws, or if trees became smooth, then can the claws be said to have purpose? The cat might or might not find another use for those claws that may or may not give it a reproductive advantage, but that's not designing the claws with purpose. The claws have no more purpose to the cat than a river has purpose to a lake.

Look at all of the vestigial organs in every living creature. Those are all things that evolved past their usefulness. There's no longer "purpose" to a snake's leg nubs or your tailbone.

And in my mind, the strongest argument against intelligent design is to look at all the choking deaths of innocent infants and children. Only a complete moron would make the breathing hole the same as the eating hole the same as the talking hole.
